Last weekend is the last time I add fishes to my tank. Time to concentrate on keeping tank clean. And when I decide to do that, my skimmer decides it wants to stop working as well. Well played skimmer, well played. On a side note, im contemplating of giving away my harlequin filefish to someone who can give it the right environment.

Went to pr to buy nsw last saturday, ended up with nsw and two fishes home. A female G. melanospilos with nice streamers imo and a O. longirostris, also female. Abit impulse buy i hv to admit but fortunately the angel is feeding well and the filefish is slowly accepting pellets after flooding my tank with cyclopeeze for one week. And added 5 mexican turbo snails from TFC to test if my tank is able to support inverts after coppering it. Salifert test kit shows Cu = 0 but not sure if my eyes are playing tricks with just 2ml of water to look at. Well thats it. More of an update for myself in this log.

Dont add anything for the time being. Wait out a week or two and just observe ur inverts. Let ur tank finish its cycle cause any traces of nitrite just means cycle is not really done You didnt actually list ur ammonia levels as well. Once u let ur tank stabilise, stock slowly. Most fishes wont eat immediately so theres no need for u to worry. The more u worry, the more u flood ur tank with food, the dirtier ur water will be and ur fish will suffer. One food thats havent failed me is cyclopeeze for smaller fishes.

How long has it been producing micro bubbles? It could just be the skimmer breaking in. The sponge at the outlet should remove some microbubbles also.

I would shoot for a bm nac 9 if budget is a constraint or if ur loaded go for the deltec series. Ur tank would be approximately 500-600 liters before taking into account live rocks and whatnots. Like what bro kakani said find a skimmer rated double for that. As for angels, its really your preference. One man's regal angel is another woman's majestic. See what u like and just do a little research on their care level. getting a healthy feeding one though sometimes more expensive, would make life easier for u. The only hard part is getting the angels to be compatible with one another. How about listing your preferred angels? No issues with the dog's paw colour. Just superstitions from last time. Usually its the superstition that a black dog with white "socks" which means dogs with white paws bring bad luck. But never heard of black mark on the paw.
