  1. An update : Equipment wise, gf surprised me with a biopellet reactor, biopellets and the mechanical top off from gemsurfs. Topping off with kalwasser. Running carbon as well to pull out the copper. Coralline which looked bad due to copper last time looks much better now. Foureye Butterfly finally passed. Lypmho decided to grow at its mouth and it stopped eating since last week. Especially sad since it was eating so well. Gave away the Brown Tang and Melanospilos. My semifasciatus is starting to grow streamers which is way cool to me. 3 fish left, 3 fish came in. In the form of the hybrid tang from TFC's recent shipment. And my flame harem is now 5 strong with the addition of 2 shepardi also from TFC's guam shipment. I guess its a flame-shepardi harem now. Will try to get pictures up during the weekends.
  2. Bro to see it in a different view, I know this is highly unlikely for a fowlr, but what are ur phosphate levels like? U need to keep in mind the redfield ratio where po4 and no3 work in tandem with one another. If ur po4 is zero it could be the limiting factor to ur no3 dropping. However, it would be unlikely since a fowlr would be nutrient rich. Just trying to find other reasons lol. Btw I dose vodka and run biopellets in my fowlr. Plus kalk drip through ato to maintain parameters n help precipitate po4.
  3. Just got back from TFC. Last piece Egypt Purple Tang Feeding Kenyan Moorish Idols Many flameback and argi angels. Jewel Damsel Paddlefin, BlueHead Wrasse King, Blue, Rock Beauty and Grey Angels Banded, Foureye, Reef Butterfly. There's also an M sized Humeralis as well. Few pieces of blue eyed anthias and 3 vanderbilt chromis. All fishes stable and up for a good price.
  4. Bro that just sounds wrong even if its a typo haha. Seletar West Farmway 1 btw.
  5. Yep thats correct. Usually by the 3rd-5th day the white spots would disappear. However, you have to keep it running for 2-4 weeks cause the parasite can only be killed in its free swimming stage, namely the tomonts and theronts. That is when the white spots drop off the fish to head for the substrate or LR to reproduce and after tht release their babies to attach themselves to a fish. This process is roughly two weeks thus the 14 days recommendation. I have used cupramine with much success following this QT regime.
  6. Just remember any new additions in the QT, the clock starts back to zero. And if ur doing water changes to keep nutrients down in the QT, u have to keep in mind the strength of copper will be diluted.
  7. I think anything should be okay except water conditioners. Prazi and copper is fine but Ive not tried mixing other medication though.
  8. Just to add, a couple of yasha gobies and flame angels as well when I went during lunch time.
  9. Haha bro why cant u just use a syringe instead.
  10. Bro when did u take this pic? Cause ur zoas are closed and all, I assume lights just on and sometimes fishes would be pale when they just wake up as its their sleeping coloration. Plus it doesn't look like a midas to me. If thats not the case, so as long as its feeding well the blenny would return to its full colour. But tht means, u got to look for nudis among ur zoas.

  12. U can google it actually. But it's photosynthetically active radiation. Its another way to measure the amount of lights u need much like how ppl use watts as a measure. PAR is the amount of light ur corals need to photosynthesize and grow much like a plant. The higher the value, the better. However terms like photosaturation and photoinhibition would pop up. Better for u to read it up.
  13. Keep trying. Drop one or two each time u try. Clowns not difficult to get it feeding.
  14. When did you buy it? What food did u try to feed it? Any injuries, white spot, white film on its body? What tank isit in? A little hard to give u an answer if there's no background info.
  15. Yep thats correct For ur rbta, prawns in small pieces would do. U can see the mouth of the rbta? No bigger than tht. But as its a new addition, let it settle down first. If it doesnt take food when u try like what u said, try again in a few days time.
  16. I would put the skimmer in the second compartment where ur biohomme would be. That space also can put ur FRs. Filter media, biohomme, coral chips in the first along with a filter pad or sock.
  17. Video Update, watch in HD please. Added a chiller and got myself a bm curve 7. Fishes seem more comfortable with the lower temperature and water seems cleaner with the change of skimmer. Btw tank is undergoing copper treatment to make my fishes clean of any ich. I have developed a strong hate seeing my fish scratch themselves. http://youtu.be/rNqz7g5QOQ4 Stocklist Blue Chromis Royal Gramma Yellowtail Tang Trio Spotfin Butterflyfish pair Flame Angel Trio G. Semifasciatus Queen Angelfish Harlequin Filefish Cleaner Wrasse Venustus Angelfish x2 (the new, bigger one has yet to eat, i have pushed my luck too far i think ) Foureye Butterflyfish Occelaris Clownfish Rock Beauty Unknown Cardinal Argi Angelfish Brown Tang Chalk Basslet Dasycllus Marginatus G. Melanospilos (giving away this sunday) Well that's it. It's overstocked but I am done stocking on fishes and concentrating on keeping water clean now. Gona run biopellets and ato with kalk to keep water parameters almost similar to a reef tank. It's gona be tough but i relish that challenge.
  18. Fish taken. Will go the nxt person in line if person backs out. Thanks all.
  19. As the title states, giving away this beauty with nice streamers. Ich free fish as my tank is undergoing copper for few weeks now. Feeding very well on cyclopeeze, mysis and pellets. Reason for giving away : either this girl or my semifasciatus girl had to go. The choice was obvious. Pls pm me. And bring your own bucket. Collection will be this sunday morning as im super busy with work these weekdays. May the odds be forever in your favour. Cheers!
  20. Yep actually it's very good behaviour for it to be feeding so fast. Maybe a pinch of cyclopeeze will entice it to come out and take food from the water column. Its always fun to see fishes chase cyclops.
