  1. $8 for pearl eye clarkii. not bad.

  2. Its messenterial filament. Nothing wrong. Usually when moved, stressed or excreting waste that will happen. Mushrooms also have.
  3. Secondly, I just re-read that u just added the emperor. That means theres a possibility the new fish could introduce ich all over again. So pls keep copper in ur tank for a min 2-3 weeks. And keep out new LRs from ur tank. Emp sensitive to lousy water parameters so keep an eye on it. And they dont take sudden changes esp copper lvls very well. The good boss at TFC taught me this. If u see the emperor having weird patches on the body, means theres something off with ur water.
  4. Bro, fishes seem better is not a sign u have killed ich. If u have done copper for 4 weeks then u can remove the copper. Use carbon, polyfilter and many many water changes. What's ur intention in adding cured rocks? Any copper in the water will just kill the newly added cured LRs which could lead to ammonia spike if u added alot. If u want to add corals again, it would take a few weeks to months of changing water and carbon to ensure the LR is not leeching copper back to the system.
  5. Ive been looking for a school of the dwarf dartfish,Aioliops Megastigma. It would be perfect for my 2ft nano. Although many of those who keep them mentioned they are very sensitive and touchy.
  6. 4hrs should be fine. Most direct shipment fishes packed for 8-10hrs flight. Just rmb to tell them to double pack and ensure horizontal or vertical fish still in water. There should be cheaper. If u have any acrylic diy idea, fish holding box, got two acrylic shop that really offers good price. But got to give them ur design and a few days to make.
  7. Wait ah I find the link one guy run it only on side of his tank.
  8. Bro if u interested u can try googling jaubert method. Kind of fits what u want to achieve I think.
  9. Nothing will go wrong and nothing will happen actually. I dosed coralline stimulator when I had copper in the tank, nothing happend. Purple Up is just a calcium supplement with other stuffs. So they are mutually exclusive with copper. If u want to regrow coralline due to it being wiped by copper, tbh its difficult. I tried and realised copper doesnt just kill ich, it kills coralline as well. My rocks super clean whenever I dose copper.
  10. You could buy new rocks and start the tank cycling. Meanwhile run ur existing LR in a small tub for 4 weeks to really make sure all ich cyst in the LR are gone. Either that, or u could kill the LR by sun drying it but I assume u want it to be live and retain the coralline/beneficial organisms in the LR.
  11. Jialat. Ill run it on my tank and try. If no c*ck up then ill mix a little kalk in.
  12. On another note, my ntuc water come le.
  13. Eh why does that happen leh bro?
  14. Bro I cannot sleep so I made this simple diy top off. Isit something u had in mind? Short end is at water level, long end goes to the bottom of the return compartment, submerged. Tested it at the sink but results like erratic leh.
  15. I made the mistake of buying big rocks. Chasing coralline covered rocks but forget my tank available space is less than 2ft lol.
  16. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/274805-marchs-15g-taking-the-tank-down/ Canister filter, no dosing.
  17. Its an anemone,pseudocorynactis family.
  18. 2 of inspiration tank from nano reef. But end up I failed badly lol. I realised in a nano two different sized rocks and lots of negative space helps in making a nano look bigger.
  19. Just checked basic cycling parameters : Ammonia : 0.25 Nitrite : 0 Nitrate : 30 Btw here's a quickly taken FTS,
  20. Of course u can bro. Even noobs give expert advice so that means expert also can give noob advice. Ill find an ato for this tank. In the meantime, got to manual top up since my mechanical top up too big to hang at ios.
  21. Hmm thanks for the heads up bro. I read about them as well awhile back but you refreshed my memory about their size potential and possibility of decomp issues. Think ill pass on the blotchy. I think im leaning towards a shoal of cardinals although the most common ones we can find at lfs is bangaii and pyajamas; both do better as pairs. Gona be on a lookout for blue eyes or parvuluses.
