Hi reefers, I am seeking recommendations for a LED lighting solution to create a deepblue effect for my 3ft fowlr setup. Currently using T5HO fixture and this LED would be a supplement. Looking for a economical solution. Anyways, are those outdoor LED strips feasible? Do those strips come in 3W blue LEDs? Where can I find those? Thanks in advance!

Mine is a 322 with lots of LR and fishes (both medium and small sizes). I change water once a month and about 20%. Bottomless setup and I change my cotton filter wool every week. Twice a week also suck out fish poo at dead spots. No UV and using biopellet to control PO4 and NO3 from heavy feedings. I think at the end of the day is how much you love your fishes and the type of clean environment you wanna give them. If you observe that the fishes are starting not to do well and not lively, these are the cues for maintenance.

Hi reefers, I have 2 problems: 1) My beloved AT has a swollen stomach for no reason. I have kept it for 8 months and all going well. It is also breathing heavily with the bloated stomach. This has been on-going for the last 2 days and it has stopped eating. 2) My grey-bellied regal has developed a small lump on its body nearer to its tail area. The lump has caused some of its scale to rupture and tiny bits of its flesh can be observed. It is still eating and not breathing heavily. The only thing which happened differently was that I added some market bought green mussels for my angels. Any ideas? Thanks in Advance!!!

Hi, the falcula is nice. izzit readily available at LFS? And you are really a good master for keeping these fishes for so long!!! They are lucky! I have a copperband and pakistan now. Also have a Platax pinnatus (Pinnatus batfish), the biggest resident in the tank right now. Agreed with you that keeping ich under control is darn too difficult. That's why I chose a fowlr setup so that I can dose copper to control it. My experience with butterflies is that they are usually the ones to kenna fluke as observed with head twitching actions. Hence my fish first aid box always have copper and prazi for treatments. My other fishes include AT, BT, regal, flame angel, coral beauty, flameback, royal gamma, orchid dotty. My experience tells me to get a feeding fish from the LFS is the best bet. If they eat, survival chances are higher. That's why I'm willing to pay premiums at times for pellet trained fishes...

Bro Digiman, my tank is a humble 3ft one. no choice but to buy small butterflies. I will take your advice not to try the difficult ones and start with the easier butterflies. As of now, I have a Pakistani, Copperband, Black Back and Spotband. Pretty happy with them now. I may want to get one more if I can find a small saddleback or raccoon.

thanks, bro. the day when I have AT, copper medicine is a 'must-have' in my fishy first aid kit.

Thanks Thomas. Gee...there are so many similarities and look-alike... IMO, 1) I prefer the 2nd type of Golden you said. More all round yellow with blue cheeks! 2) For Sunburst, I prefer the 2nd type with greater color variation. Why is it for Expert level only? Difficult to feed? 3) I have one Pakistani B. right now. Its the cheaper type. 4) Saddleback is nice. Shd be getting one too. I just hope to have a tank of butterflies with color diversity. Since most butterflies are dominantly yellow, I have to be choosy here.
