Dear reefers, It’s time again for me to let go some of my precious fishes which I have kept for more than a year due to limited space in my 3ft tank. They are very healthy and eat like pigs – pellets (TDO + NLS + ON), mysis and Henry’s reef gourmet. It’s a sad time for me to say goodbye as they have outgrown my tank. Here is the sale list (prices are non-negotiable): Emperor Angel (Juvenile) Size: 10-12cm in length Price: $30 Blue Tang Size: 12-14cm in length Price: $10 Yellow Tang Size: 8-10cm in length Price: $18 Seagrass Filefish Size: 5-6cm in length Price: $18 It does a good job to clear all my aiptasia and now feeding on mysis. Video: Double colored doctor fish Size: 2cm in length Price: $18 Very hardworking fish cleaning all of its tankmates. Video of it at work: Nigger Trigger Size: 8-10cm in length Price: $10 2 x Blue Green Chromis + 1 x Banggai Cardinal(Male) Adult sized To be given away free with any purchase. Just highlight your interests in your pm and will be given away FCFS. I reserved the rights to call off any of the purchases due to fish conditions. Please pm me your interests and fish collections will be centralized to a weekend (Target date: 5th or 6th April) which is to be decided later. All fishes will be caught on the spot and please bring your own bags or pails for the bigger fishes. I do not have big bags to house them as it will stress them. Successful sales will be FCFS based on the pm received. A video of the fishes:

I have to isolate them from the rest since they are slow eaters. I kept them in the fish trap box. You can put in a divider to section off an area and put in some cheato with pods. This is just for back up in case they reject the mysis and pellets so that they won't starve. Then I feed them frozen mysis mixed with nls small pellets and rasphery powder. They can take all the time they want to eat. Uneaten food will just fall through the holes in the fish trap to the DT. Again, this is what works for me. Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

Btw, no harm adding pellets as well to cross train them too. Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

Just have to keep trying to train them. What works for me is to mix mysis and/or with repashy community plus powder and then let them hunt for the food in peace in a fish trap box. Even my orange spotted filefish is mysis trained in this way. For some reasons, they rejected the repashy in gel form. This is quite 'potent' stuff if you look at the ingredients... Pasir Ris floating fish farm massive fish death discussion
cutebarra77 replied to AroDan's topic in General Reefkeeping_
I think one of the lim chu kang kelong fish farm already deployed this technology with the pump automation. The owner is by the name of Malcolm if I remembered correctly. And I think not all can afford such automation which increases operating costs. I think ava has to play a more active role for such success stories sharing amongst the kelong owners and provide easier access to their grants. Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk -
Hi all, anyone has tried freezed dried black worms from US? URL: http://www.aquaticfoods.com/FreezeDriedBlackwormsM.html Is it the same as the tubifex worms readily available in local freshwater aqua shops? Thanks!

There is risk with the use of frozen food. So far so good with me and I think the fishes do enjoy them over processed food. I prefer to give them a balance which I'm already doing, giving them frozen and dry food daily. I guess it's a matter of variety for trying to introduce see hum which may or may not provide additional nutrition to the fishes. Just like for dwarf angels, their natural diet comprise mainly of sponges but we replace that with dry food. Are they still getting the right balance of nutrition? Maybe. I'm just trying to see if anyone tried and like to know the results.
