Btw, those using par bulbs might have difficulties screwing into the e27 or e14 holder. U can go sim lim tower to buy those extension. The short white pc is a e14 to e27 converter. it helps to lengthen the light socket So tat the bulb will be able to screw in, otherwise the umbrella heatsink might prevent the bulb from screwing into the socket base. There's also a e27 to e27 flexible neck extension. but need to check if the flexible neck is strong to support the bulb.

There's always So much to learn n improve in reefing... at least for me. I was using a Hitachi 14w energy saving spiral bulb which is "equivalent" to a 80w incandescent bulb. I varied the height of the bulb. My cheato shows growth when I position my light nearer to the water. Tat makes sense. After reading on one of the thread The info about spiral tube bulbs to have a parabolic reflector to direct the lights more effectively. Therefore I decided to try out using par30 bulb. Using spiral bulb using 5watt bulb Notice the cheato are very green using the 5 Watt bulb. The sump surrounding are dimmer. The added advantage of using this type of bulb would be it minimize coralline algae from growing in your FR n pumps. Disadvantage would be sump is dimmer. I got from Madpetz. my pressure is extremely low at 12psi. min working pressure 40-45psi. higher pressure is better. So I got a booster pump from madpetz n Ken installed for me. the ro unit should get the higher gal type. I'm using 200gal. 1 part purified water to 3 part waste, which goes into my washing machine

maybe u wan to provide the specs of the model u comparing. I'm using zerox... should be 5stage. the ro membrane is the last stage. bear in mind if u living in hdb, n high floor, u might need a booster pump. better buy from a seller with booster pump on hand So tat u dun need to source for 1. To me, all rodi units built all using similar housing. the filter media are the ones sort of mine is better than others... etc. etc. they all do their job. Maybe should look into easy replacement of media n media pricing. The less u utilize the unit, the longer the media last I suppose. So important thing is product support.

Decided to try out this. [ATTACH]184126[/ATTACH] Try out by feeding pellets without n with this additive. INSTANTLY see the eagerNess feeding behaviour when pellets is added with this. As my lyretail are already pellet train, they go crazy over it. Increase the chances of My princess anthias taking pellet food as they now will go eat it, but will spit out later. But compare to totally ignoring the pellets, it's a step forward. Not a miracle additive for those hard to feed fishes but a booster.

sss super sump saver. a very gd skimmer which I had googled. was planning to buy the xp2000sss but must indent from distributor cos they only bring in those the pump beside the skimmer body. So I later didn't buy.

comparing wattage guess waterblaster wins. The most important is head loss. U can google their performance chart for better comparison. saw a water blaster pump operating out of water during last aquarama n let u touch pump to verify if hot. So in the end I choose water blaster over ehiem due to power efficiency.

Encountered the rubber sucker of the water level sensor keep dislodging from the glass. Not sure if the rubber has hardened or glass problem. Found some magnet n decided to make a simple mod. Ya. seems to be due to 64 bit n 32 bit windows running same bit java. in the end laptop running win7 home premium 32bit running 32bit java still cannot install the software. only 64bit win7 with 64bit Java can install the ecosmart live connection manager. it is a desktop application. but launch liao can't log in but browser can log in. and also can't connect to radion. thought was a breeze n So excited.
