  4. like wat the reefers said here. 10k budget is quite tight. I think for u to estimate whether yr 10k can support yr needs. 1) tank size of 8ft length n 3ft wide. Better get a est. quote the tank thickness n if crystal glass. 4 by 3 ft by 3ft using 15mm thick glass. u be surprised from 12mm to 15mm jump in thickness, the price jump is quite significant. 2) Such huge tank need lots of LIVEROCKS. if u wan good LR, think coral farm selling $16 per kg. U will need a few hundred kg. 3) since LED is the IN thing now. MH is not So expensive compare to the past. a 8ft tank might need 3mh supplemented by T5. 4) Next is yr wavemaker. Probably u need at least 2x mp 60. 5) chiller compressor u need ask Derek for advice on 1.5 or 2 hp. 6) Skimmer also will take up a chunk of yr budget. Best is u use the online tools and calculate the total water vol inclusive of tank n sump. from there u will know wat capacity Skimmer, wsvemaker n chiller compressor hp u need. normally wat I read from reefing forums, for huge tank, u run calcium reactor is much much more cheaper than dosing. U live in Jiak Hong Chu ah? 8x3x3 tank, yr house must be big n strong.

  12. I've try tat red bubbles, those spikey sea urchin where sushi shop open them up to see them, will eat them. but green ones they dun care. tuxedo also dun eat the green ones. I also have green bubble. So I do wat it shows on YouTube, use a plastic tube to dislodge n suck it down into my filter bag in my sump. tat way yr water level maintains. only issue is the pores will get released bck. maybe hook up a uv lighting in line with the hose can help... hmmm.. should get a uv unit now for me... last I read tat yellow tang will pick at them, but not good idea as they will release the spores.

  15. maybe u wan email to ecotechmarine n will get s definite answer. I just check my 2 mp40. using short pulse mode n I remember I set nite mode to slowest speed. the driver led is at the extreme left. led stays at left, never see it "running". So mine is same as yours.

A is smallest size with a black sponge at $3. B is biggest size at $5. C is medium size at $4. Interested pls pm me. collection at bukit panj this Sat evening.
