  1. should be ok. mine is 3x3x2 with a sump. i added a pair in together. been a few mths now. u need to observe their stomach to see if they r full, esp yr current male. if after u add the female n u see tat the male stomach has sunken then not enough food. high chance it will perish. Also need to take note if u have any wrasse or any pods competitor.
  2. normal whitish with pink mouth. normal looking.
  3. soon. wan to make them smaller. too big not nice. giving off some chalice n selling off some acan.
  4. Got the idea from watchin shows of lab. decided to make a cheap one, considering the dust n mess created when u use the rotary tool n also to protect yrself from the mucus n debris. after use can just throw away the box. gloves $2.20. box took from company free. tranparent sheet $1.00
  5. oh misunderstood. try to have a refugium. yet sump is 3 compartment? remember dun put any Bio balls or bacteria king in 1st compartment where the downpipe is. will become nitrate bed.
  6. One more thing, be aware tat the gfo might get blown into the display tank, though no risk.
  7. Since u dun have a refugium, u going to install 2 FR inside the display tank. it's going to take up quite an amount of space. also might look bit out of place, but if u dun mind then OK. I suppose u looking at the hangon DD ocean. A lps/nps/softies don't need too gd quality water. Previously I only have biopellets in my sump. U can just do water change more often to reduce the nitrate n phosphate. Most would recommend the media be inside a FR to be more efficient. Ultimately u can have biopellets n a phosremover media to take care of yr nutrients. Once u stock up u can start the FR. As for the Skimmer, I just read about it. quite sad abt it. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2010/1/aafeature
  8. Interested pls pm me. collection bukit panj.
  9. Tonite at 9, animal planet, Fish life. seems to be new docu.
  10. dun think is sea of life. remembered the title is fish life. I googled got this title. I see the preview is like those Coral scene n close up like u see at those electronics super store on their flat screen tv. the blue planet I go check out.
  11. I would say only the clam color still look diff only. Eg. my green pagoda coral looks same from glass and top. My purple monti has the same purple from glass and top. My true fiber optic looks same from glass and top. My coralline algae looks same from glass and top. I don't have any real blue color so cant comment. But clam is still different when u look from top and glass. I wonder if acrylic will solve this. If u unsure, u may drop by and verify it.
  12. Mine is low iron on 3 sides. Wat I know is when light shines on the glass, the sides is blue instead of green. Quality wise I'm not sure u meaning the "brand" of the source of low iron glass. I didn't ask abt tat when I get my tank. There's a few slabs of glass samples at coral reef aquarium where it shows the different glass grade. So far I'm satisfied with it, n reasonable pricing.
  13. chanced upon a new underwater show on animal planet. the preview lools nice. if not wrong will debut on coming Friday. time I not too sure. anyone knows?
  14. So far no change in feeding behaviour. fish never grow tired of it. Do take note yr Skimmer bubbles will subside, due to the oil content of this.
  15. change to 200 gpd type membrane. but yr improvement from 30litres more than 1 day to 30litres in 30mins is a vast improvement already. me also using 5 stage with booster pump. 1 jellycan 25litre take abt 40min. yrs looks normal to me.
  16. $12.30. can use the $ in yr "account" to pay. they also have those gloves for doing hardware work. but need use cash pay $2.20. good if u using a dremel tool when fragging.
  17. I remember the 2000 series I was looking at is already over rated for my 3x3x2 water vol. I remember my calculated tank plus sump is close to 600litres which is around 150gal I suppose. but the xpsss series u need indent from span aquarium. Ya, also remember check yr cup clearance when u wan to take out. also I think the cup got no drain tube. u need check to confirm
  18. yr lighting is put to shine on the side of the ats? not top down rite. I know dymax got a 4led nano light for sump which u stick to side of sump, space saving too. not sure how much watt per bulb. if 1 watt per bulb maybe u can use.
  19. splash proof means there's a transparent shield in front of bulb? for refugium since u already got the maxarra lights for yr DT. if yr concern is salt deposits on light then u just need to install a circulating fan in the sump to aerate the air n also minimize water bubbling in the sump tank.
  20. just curious on the regret in reefing. Pls share yr thoughts bro. for my case, I was spending on car mods n stuffs when I realised I only come in contact with my car max 3hrs a day n the rest of the day resting in carpark. With reefing, I get to spend time with. The only bad point I feel is with reefing, u r sort of slave to the hobby, doing physical work esp water change, unless u using it to generate some $$ bck which motivates u to continue the hobby. I find tat the motivating factor in a hobby is mutual appreciative, when u have friends who share the same ideology. It is hard to be self appreciative. rc heli means remote control helicopters? I saw alot of rc shops at hock hai building where sgtooling is. Another expensive hobby. my place every wkend under kje flyover, got many rc car enthusiasts.
  21. Yes u rite. tat time saw many big moray eels at cf reserved for rws.
