mine drops about $40. Bills always hover around $230-240. Now around $180 plus. Guess the bigger tank With a drop in coil will have more savings as compared to a small tank with a drop in coil

Was wondering y some sps are ejecting white strands when my water parameters seems OK. The spider sponge didn't open and some parts of the sponge near the tip seems to be dying. Later read tat leather coral ejects toxins tat will stun the growth of hard corals. Though there are mixed concerns abt leather coral toxin, decided to throw it away. This morning the spider sponge polpys open. Not sure if it's coincidence But So far only read tat leather affects hard corals. It might worth a try if u have a leather n things in the tank dun look good.

For buying livestock from other reefers, u can just negotiate yr terms n questioning. learn to say no, if u r uncomfortable. U can avoid these unpleasant issues. As for the zoas, I feel u... But if someone want to sell n there's a buyer who's willing to buy, One can't really put a stop sign in the forum to halt the trade. I was told some regulars of a lfs always get the cream of crop shipments. They in turn frag n sell. Every trade functions like this everywhere. If one disapproves it, then one can don't support it. For me, reefing isn't about getting the nicest corals or fishes, but to replicate a natural piece of ocean in a tank, n hopefully see them spawn.

Hi, dun blame yr dad... The sump should be designed to hold yr the water when there's a power trip n water from display tank backlog to the sump. if u wan a backup power system, it might cost a lot, n size might be big. Unless u staying in a country with frequent power trip n yr livestock worth a big sum of $, probably u dun need in. U can get vortech pumps plus backup battery, in event of power trip, the wavemaker still can provide water motion n reduce yr livestock fatality.
