  1. YEah, interested to know what happened to the LA LAKERS in singapore? Dont know why leh, no longer see any for sale at the sell of pasar malem....or is it just me. HAHA, lol....all the time go to doing homework. lol
  2. actually, newbies should talk to a reliable senior reefer before doing anything. Completely agree with jackywongto. I got alot of advice from sealife but i must seriously make a trip to ML. It should be my new year resolution. TErryz: LOL!
  3. i would opt for sand. BAre bottom looks to bare for me...lol, but thats my opinion. There are many beautiful aquariums set up with sand or bare-bottom
  4. WAH! SHockingly nice r.floridas...planning to get afew for my tank but cant seem to find the time. l
  5. i reccomend 1.025 cuz me, my corals and fishes love it that way. 1.018 is really low...as in seriously, go put more salt in LOL....u dont need all of those dude. I wouldnt even reccomend that for beginners. If say u overdose, without test kits measuring all those stuff that you're adding, its dangerous. So just stay to the two part dosing method, it works well if you're just keeping a nano. I believe that all those should only be used if u want to have a tight control over your parameters. Getting all those is also quite ex. Or if you know how to, get chemicals like Calcium chloride, magnesium chloride.......but thats when you have the experience. For test kits, i can think of many right now. 1:Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. 2:Calcium, magnesium and strontium 3: carbonate hardness To test for KH 4:iodine(dont really need one) Why not get crystal pro from aquamarin or ZERO from madpetz? I think u can get the simple DI one for less than $100. Heard good reviews of them too. What kind of food u need? For fish: Get pellets, flakes or henry reef gourmet. I'm using henry reef gourmet as my staple. For corals: 5-in one coral food....actually there are MANY types of coral food, but i'm using 5in one from aquapharm.
  6. 250 may seem alot, but compared to alot of other stuff in the hobby, its not very expensive.
  7. haha, lol. What kind of crabs? most crabs are actually just scavengers. Why not use a trap? Actually, even if u inspect every cm of your liverock, the hitch hiker will just be waiting in some crevices. I had some crabs in my old tank that came with the liverock, i just left em alone and they didnt really do any harm except scavenge
  8. no, you dont need to scrub your rocks. for t5, get white and blue and use a timer. Unless you can manually on one bulb at a specific time each day, get a timer. MOst reefers on both. blue doesnt really bring out the colours in fishes and white looks too whitish. For sand, why use the carribsea ones. MAny varities too and if u order from madpetz, they deliver to u. saves u time. LOL.
  9. nice, another led lit tank. LOL, leds are quite popular nowadays. camping here for some pics.
  10. what a dazzling tank filled with even gems. lol, i like your rock scape.
  11. zzzz.......its a bristle worm which wont kill anything. They're also a good cleanup...they frequetly hitch hike on liverocks.
  12. blue light or not is optional. BUT for those who collect zoas like me, we all use more actinic bulbs than white ones. BLue light allows the zoas to fluorescent but blue lights dont contribute as much to PAR as white bulbs do. So best to use both. MY zoa tank is ard 28c...zoas doing fine.
  13. upz for you bro. Had a nice chat with you...lol
  14. depends on how you define 'advanced'. i agree with fuel
  15. Zoa 1,2 and 3 sold to a nice reefer
  16. water change is one of the best methods. U need to check your CA level. WHat do you keep inside your tank?
  17. not really lah....just need some space at the back, i think its only bout 6cm right.
