  1. if u traget feed, the coral will def get the food, assuming there no huge wavemaker beside the coral blowing away the food. If u just disperse, the coral will PROBABLY get less but more sensible if u're keeping nps reef
  2. lol, all the good stuff....may i know where u got the tray?
  3. why are you so against it? do you own one?
  4. ummmm i actually think its cheap and decent. I removed the inner body though.
  5. yeah, i love the smashing and the burning...but i think that guy's an idiot. i'm using that skimmer in my frag tank...its good but its not a deltec or bubble magus
  6. I'm trying to gather recipes...anyone would like to share? I tried blender and chopper before. I find that the blender makes the food too fine. Prefer to use chopper. Also I put the chopped up food in a ziplock bag, flatten it and place it flat in the freezer. Once frozen, take out for less than 5 minutes and cut into desired size. Place back into ziplock and take out desired amount during feeding. Usually, I take out a piece and keep in a plastic bowl with cover (those used for "Tapow" mee pok) and keep it in the fridge Is the food meant for fish or inverts? Thx i'm trying to make some food for sps n lps...but not sure what to add
  7. woah....an expert. I'm sure your fish must love the 'cadbury' bar....how did you find such moulds...is it possible to reuse the tray that the mysis shrimps come in? Your fishes live a more comfortable life than me.....
  8. looks very similar to the boyu one....probably the same, anyway im using the boyu one and its quite good.
  9. yeah, interested o know too...oh and whats masago??
  10. woah....must make a trip to the market....which type of seaweed do u use? green? brown? red?
  11. oh the video was removed...why not list down your ingredients....thanks. Do your add any supplements like selcon, garlic?
  12. Has anyone ever tried this? I'm planning on mixing prawns with oyster, selcon, seaweed and freeze dried cyclopeeze..i'm only going to chop it finely, add a tiny bit of water and refrigerate it(i dont know what container to use).......is there any obvious flaw???
  13. haha lol, your tank is cleaner than mine...thats for sure..just add when you're confident and have deep pockets. Sps corals require some additional work on your part like dosing unless u are willing to invest in a dosing pump...i think your light may be sufficient but in case it isnt enuf, u may want to upgrade to par38, lumenaqua max 200...also if u're water movement isnt enuf, u can just add those cheap n tiny powerhead...something along the line of tunze mini universal pump, dymax 200
  14. Upz, Price reduced further to $10,
  15. i agree, elements get used up quite fast...just put in a little more effort...manual dosing... for water movement,i think it is sufficient...if not enough just add a tiny powerhead...for all stonies, try to mantain the temp under 28c. you can try using a cooling fan but the evaporation rate will be high, you can try using an iceprobe...but it will cost.
  16. How's your water quality? Nitrates n phophates? How many sps corals do you want to keep? For sps, try to get nitrates level under 10mg/l and mantain Ca,mg.... levels. If your water is clean, you can try to add sps corals slowly. if there isn't enough light, be prepared to invest in a better lighting system. Nice tank by the way.
  17. Rocks are currently reserved, pending collection
  18. there arent many options for a t5 tube that length so i agree that u should go for something like leds...maybe par 38... as for water quality, from your post and pics, i think u should take out the lava rocks(i find lava rock quite useless) and replace it with something like biohome or seachem matrix. I think you should get a better skimmer or get a more powerful air pump...i keep sps with no prob under compact flourescents...
  19. upzzzz...another pic....pic quality still very bad...sorry for that. I upgraded the lighting system so now it's under 14k...
