  1. no prob...for even more info, the book 'marine chemistry' is really good. Explains the use of the elements required in the reef tank.
  2. just remember dont overdose either...if u overdose CA, u get low KH if u overdose KH...the solution should be alright...when u finish dosing just give the bottle a rinse or use a new one...
  3. wait...i dont understand why would CA and MG mix together?...shouldnt add CA and Kh solution together...Kh is basically carbonates and bicarbonates. If u add to fast, the CA ions will combine with the carbonate or bicarbonate ions.
  4. for small nanos, i just keep frags n small colonies...so u get more variety....easy corals would be zoas, brain, shrooms, leather...later on you can try sps, sps is not that hard provided your conditions are right. For fishes, clowns and damsels...maybe gobies..
  5. hmmmm...will get my dad to gimme some.......but experimenting like that is risky. What works for human may not work for the tank....keep it updated...interested to know more
  6. 6 months...??.......lol....u know...the equipment u have can be used for a bigger tank that u fill with acros....
  7. If i remember correcly from last time...you have a regal tang, 2 clowns, two watchman goby, a bangai cradinal....and the RED SCOOTER....
  8. WOW.....my god-tank.......looking nice....hows the AOI?
  9. Upz, free one polyp frag of zoa 1if u purchase paly2......$10 only
  10. AAAHHHH Plain amazing............... Beautiful zoas and scolys......
  11. chased away the ghost liao....lol
  12. Price of paly 2 is revised to $10. It is a healthy specimen that is stable, attached to a small pieceof rock. The pic of the paly was taken some time ago...the only dif now is that it is slightly bigger and on a peice of small rock.
  13. I agree....i only do water changes once every 2-3 months. And thats already frequent for me....skimmers arent essential, but they're a good addition...for my nano last time, i didnt have a skimmer. I relied on an eheim liberty hob filter and partial water changes every months....didnt keep sps but had some lps n softies, nitrates were slighly less than ten back then.
  14. actually zoa 2 isnt a zoa, its a paly....so i'll change its name from zoa2 to paly2
  15. to me...the salt mix doesnt really matter as long as you use a decent one ie tropic marin, red sea, red sea coral pro....for me i use red sea salt, not coral pro...been using it for over 2 years...it cost $1/5l.....but you have to go through the standard procedures andthat will prob'll take some time
  16. i think you can get it for $15 at aqumarin...one nice big hob filter you have there...interested in one for my frag tank, actually thinking of modifying it into a refugium...just a tiny one for a tiny tank.
  17. I've used a boyu for my frag tank that is of the exact dimension, can handle the load of a three heavily fed fish. I dont know bout tunze but i heard promising reviews
  18. how bout the side? The prizm is very thin...6cm only....anyway how bout a boyu wg308, tunze 9002? Just some popular ones.
  19. Humbug has been collected...well thats all....thanks for your interest
  20. nay...fresh water dips doesnt work for me. I think the best for me is garlic...is there any noticable difference between the brightwell aquatics garlic and the one from kent marine?
