If you are not planning on keeping any light requiring corals then light wont be a prob but if u want to keep things like acros, u need to think bout par. For a 2 feet, i prefer using hob, im using a hob for my 2feet frag tank which has a flow rate of 400l/h and a surface skimmer, bought it from nature aquarium. Im using natures oceaan live aragonite sand...heres the link http://aquamarin.com.sg/productsDetail.asp?productid=284 The amount of sand is just nice for your tank, though u may want a deeper sand bed. Its just your preference. As for your filter media, just use biohome,good grade carbon and phosphate media. I know a person who has setted a very nice tank, but just started this year....the tank dimensions are almost the same....u can find it

...be careful dude...its white spots...the most diabolical disease after ebola...i had the same thing with my blue tang(with ich), competing with other fishes for food, had ich on and off for a few weeks. Throughout the day, the ich appeared then disappeared...i mean that lets say it has ich in the morning but then no ich in the evening...then doesnt mean the ich is gone...it came back and suddenly one day it stooped competing and the next day it died...that was a sad, sad time....

Yes thats very true if you keep buying equipments at a slow pace for say I buy this protein skimmer today and tmr I need a stronger pump kinda thing? without proper planning it gonna be like dumping money into the sea so do plan wisely! True...

anemones arent that hard....and they look nice with a clown....lol but your domino may be excessively fierce towards it.

yup clowns dont need anemones...safest and the easiest method is the drip method...for shrimps, i acclimate for about an hour, sometimes less, but always more than 45min for inverts,an hour to two of acclimation is a good guideline for most marine fishes n inverts.

u can try a trap...just put some food in a glass and leave it in the aquarium...but there are quite a few flaws in my method. Or u can purchase a trap...make sure to moniter the fish health.....
