Hi all, Is two Par38 for a 8 gallon tank an overkill ? Will it pose any issue like overheating or algae problem ? the tank is 30x37x35cm.

Are you trying to ask , if having only blue light for your lps, anemone and softies for 4 days is fine ? maybe u can post your lighting spec so reefer here can better advise you

Any idea which LFS sell Sander 2 wood block or simliar product for IQ5 skimmer ??? tried C328 but out of stock for sometime.

Hi Guys, Currently using beamswork 9x 1watt lightset for my nano but find the light too white, anyone had success on diying blue led on to it ? currently has 6 white 3 blues. Any advice how do I go about adding blue led to it ?

Just a some Rowaphos and media bag from C328. how much should i put for my IQ5 ? I'm thinking just 2 teaspoon since I only have effectively around 10 litres of water after all the live rock etc.

RO/DI might be hassle free but currently have to stick to distilled water since my tank is really small and i think distilled water might be more econ for now. Will consider getting a RO/DI unit if I have any plans of upgrading in the future

Thanks alot evolutionz, talking about DI water. I got some distilled water from NTUC, heard alot using life brand but I saw a "PURE" ntuc drinking water which shown 0 sodium as opposed to life brand which contain some tiny amount of sodium. Issit ok to use the "PURE" brand ? or issit better to use "LIFE" brand instead ? The "PURE" brand doesn't mention if it's distilled water, just that the all the ingredient list shows 0%.

ohh, sounds like just what I need. will it be able to acheive a decent flow if i use a strong air pump ? say 200l/h ?

Anyone tried running a mini reactor on IQ5 ???? Intend to try out rowaphos but read that it's more effective in a reactor or has anyone tried just putting rowaphos in a filter bag straight into the IOS ?? was worried that the particles might flow into the tank. Cheers

Anyone know where can I buy a tunze universal mini pump for my IQ5 ??? Intend to use it as a wavemaker for my IQ5 since I can't find wavemaker small enough to be suitable for my tank. Was thinking of hooking on a Ehiem 2211 canister to increase the flow too. Any recommdation ? :)
