  1. Ok noted. Thank you bros. Will do my research on what to feed.
  2. Hi, anyone can help me ID this pink soft coral?
  3. I am also using a fan and the temperature drop from 31 degrees to 28 degrees. On cooler days, i get up to 26.5 degrees. I using the ikea timer to run the fan for 30 mins, off 1hr, and so on. It works and the temperature never drop much and will maybe increase the lifespan of your fan and decrease evaporation rate. I top up once every 4-5 days.
  4. Yah, probably my mg and calcium is low, i dose seachem reef complete and reef carbonate once every 2 weeks. Never tested before also, and think my nitrate also high because I have around 7 fishes inside. The ones that I can see significant growth are Green Star Polyp, Blue mushroom, momti and the other one I think is favia.
  5. For me, I have been running my tank for 1year 3mths with tap water and red sea coral pro salt mix. I also dose seachem prime everytime i top up water and also add in seachem carbonate 1 cap. Got corals also and also got diatoms on the glass weekly. No nice purple algae. Haha.
  6. Mine working since November 2013. On w1 S1 mode. I have also wash a few times and put vaseline into the shaft and the strength will come back after every wash.
  7. Hi bro, yah, I placed it too high on the rocks and i think the clam was stress and died within 3 days. I have since bought another clam and place it on the sand bed with a dead monti plate below the clam. It. Is now holding tightly onto the monti plate and I could shift it next time if there is a need without damaging its suction pads.. The new clam is still alive!
  8. Hi, anyone can help to ID the purple stuff on my rock? Are those barnacles? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I am using maxspect Nano for my tank. Have seen growth on my bird nest, monti, zoas, gsp, golden clove. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I did some research and found out that these sponges actually grow under low light conditions especially in caves or under rocks. These are beneficial filter feeders and will actually absorb the silicates and prevent diatoms from blooming. One of the possibility that fuel the growth is silicates which is because I am using tap water since I started this tank in end Nov 2013. Anyway, spirorbid worms have also started to bloom all over the back of my tank wall and sump. Not sure why but i am going to do more research on these worms.
  11. Thank you bros. will research more on this to see how they can benefit my tank as the overflow is full of such sponge. Thanks again!
  12. Hi seniors, I was pointing my torch light into my overflow and saw these white stuffs growing on the pipe and walls of my overflow. I believe that area has low flow, what could those be? Anyway, I tried putting a huge turbo snail it the overflow and it jam up my overflow. Luckily it did not jam up fully! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Anyone can help? The fish is about 2cm long. Auntie beside ah beng say its damselfish but cant find the actual name.
  15. Bro, that could be one of the cause for the algae. I am running from 5pm - 11pm and 1hr moonlight. 65A and 80B for my razor settings.
  16. Anyone has spare BSI gel, looking to deal at sengkang area on this Saturday? Pls whatsapp me 973I7O37 with price. Prefer new and unused.
  17. I would say bright lights with medium to high flow. Mine will usually show all its bubble in the day and once the lights are out, it will hide in the rocks. It does that everyday and it readily accepts frozen mysis and brine shrimp. My RBTA took at around 2 weeks to start accepting the frozen food.
  18. Nickname : kohanson , SPS ID : radioactive birdnest
