Thanks for the feedback, would using a regular chiller at 1/5 or 1/10 HP be out of the question? I'm not familiar with drop in coil chillers.

Hi guys, I'm asking on behalf of a friend, who has access to certain cold water species and would like to maintain them in the aquarium. Would a chiller (eg. Hailea Resun) be able to chill a 2x1.5x1.5 tank down to say 10 degrees and below? The surrounding temperature would range from 24-28 degrees. Also thinking of using styrofoam or some insulating material to insulate the tank. Model of chiller, as well as tank specs and filter system are still being discussed, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Any squamosa/derasa clams spotted?

Thanks for the advice iskay, camels removed. Would other shrimp ( skunk,scarlet, banded) be ok with clams?

Hi guys, currently have a footlong squamosa & small crocea clam in my tank, their only tank mates are currently camel shrimp, an emerald crab and a couple of red cardinals. The shrimp seem to pick on the mantle of the large squamosa occasionally, causing it to retract, but leaves the crocea alone completely. Is this something I should be worried about? Thinking of removing them if they will continue to stress the clam long term.

Sorry for starting another thread so soon , Just wondering if anyone can share any rare crustaceans that make it into the aquarium trade? The rarest ive heard of so far is cherry crab anyone can let me know the names of some rare crusties available or you are keeping thx alot
