  1. I think better place it before your return pump. I have second opinion, mesh is quite useful too. I used to run it in FR, no tear it down as i find that after awhile the rowa fails to fluidise effectively. I think they absorb too much PO4 till they are quite heavy to "jump". Now using mesh bag. Every 2 to 3 days, overturn your bag should be enough.
  2. 8 to 10 kg? ?? heard is not bad.
  3. There are many epoxy out there that are for aquarium use. But i find many of them are not good enough. and standard also drop. Now switch to 3M super glue gel. But they are not for heavy colony especially sticking on an inclined position. So still got to use good epoxy, i prefer Aquamedic now.
  4. I hope i am not too late to congratulate you Francis. Your tank and Dan's are the aspiration for me to go sps. You have done us proud.
  5. hmm.. maybe shine brighter. hard cash better.
  6. hand not long enough, Danano got a nice echinata. Dan, Better show some picture here for us to enjoy.
  7. Definitely. Cautious on removing the sand bed, it gonna be hard work. Nutrient will go up. Try using those small dustpan to scope up the sand. As for those left over, you have to siphone them.
  8. So you are referring to those long fin with red strip on the edge? They are indeed beautiful but not hardy. How long have you keep it? Often many will not pass the 3 months mark, due to whatever reasons.
  9. I have seen it before. Should be no problem but those batfish is quite difficult to keep. My advise is better leave it to the wild.
  10. Good work Gouldian, very nicely put it for people to understand. And a great fan of Anthony too.
  11. Yes they are all valuable information. Just to add further. 1. It is good to have a longer height tank rather than width or length as SH move up and down more often and create more spacious environment for them. They will have more space for dancing. 2. Tonga branch rocks (not too many just 2 or 3 pcs) would give a more natural environment with Gorgonians with some algae and sand (grade 3) 3. Flow should not be too high, just below moderate. 4. pH is of greatest important. 5. Lighting should not be too bright, normal fluorescent lights will do. Just do more research before setting up.
  12. I have one selling soon but not now. If you can wait pm me for detail.
  13. nudibranch eat black sponge? I thought they dont, only eat nlue or pink one. BTW, i cant give you cos they are all encrusted on rocks.
  14. Black sponge?? Do you really need them? I have alot on some of my rocks and they are a nuisance least to mention. They will grow and grow in no time and cover your corals eventually lead them to death. They produce foul smell and very toxic when die. If you want them as filter or as food for your fishes i suggest you get other blue or pink types.
  15. I think from what i know now, only ML has some in one of his display tank. The rest are all sold or not for sales.
  16. granted, only if you are a geniue that can grant me 3 wishes. i wish the next person after me can wish me luck
  17. I am used to this sort of things already. Cheer up it wont be the last time. Upz for your sales.
  18. Beautiful and elegant fish. Need low current and good water parameter. Will feed on mysid shrimp. But extremely difficult to keep it alive. Better avoid it, success rate is very low.
  19. Maybe add another wavebox with extension and sychronising the wave.. Tsunami wave better?
