It wont be perfect and as what you expect. Unless use laser to do that. But even so, i think is difficult to have the wood as same gradient as the floor. Forget about the gradient. It will have an impact on your floor loading. A kerb will do, any water dripping will be contain there. Just use a mop or cloth to clean up. Maybe if you are lazy to clean up. Put some fishes there also can.

usually pH is not the main problem. PH low may be due to many things. 1. The test kit you use. it will be easier if you have a pH monitor. 2. Type of salt you use. pH controller is not meant for increasing pH in your tank.

Usually pH is to control the your solenoid valve for CO2 in your Calcium Reactor. 1st why do you need to control pH? What is that use for? You must ask yourself.
