Hmm... I think Vandeam was referring to his guests who came and look see at his magnificant reef tank and somehow at a moment, Vandeam went upstair to pee, then came down not aware that the guest left and found out his equipment were gone after afew hours later. Fingerprint for theft? I doubt so, as this is not murder. Just some equipment stolen.

BTW, those sps in my view and experience. They are not in a healthy stage. Just look at the profile of the formation and also the polyps. Although its still surviving, it is becos you have stable kH and also given the fact that the zooxanthelae is thick because of high nirate. Any fluctuation of this kH then RTN will kill in.

Misleading info. Keep SPS at 50ppm? I am speechless. It may survive, but brown is what you will get. Even for easiest sps species. The lower the nitrate (best below 5ppm) the better the colour of your sps. And many have claim and are experiencing more to have vibrant sps colours. Like potassium, magnesium and strontium. And you didnt even get to that yet. Kh is another importance issue to prevent your sps from STN. Normally with high nitrate you will get RTN. The key is stability. I think most of us always forget. By maintaining stability of your right water parameters, not only you can see growth but also strive in colours. Once your sps strive, then the pests come in, you still have alot to learn. More than just parameters. Good luck.

Hmm... i think the growth not necessary = high nitrate. At least not those leaves. I think it should equate them with growing roots rather than leaves.

Now.. healthy growth.
