Just to clarify. Everything is New and I bought it from C328 @ $98/- (I think AM is cheaper). The Controller is Older as it is from AM dated Sep 2013.

I am not sure it this work : Find out the usual rock hole that it is hiding in. FInd a Rubber Hose (those used for Shower Tap but Larger Diameter). Fill it with water and stop one end of the Rubber Hose with your Thumb (place pail under) while you lower the other end near to the Hole where the Mantis Shrimp is hiding. When ready, just release your thumb and hopefully the power suction will suck the mantis shrimp into the rubber hose ten to the pail.

Better if pour Boiling Water onto Rock and Soak Rock in Boiling water ?

That is puzzling because Shrimps usually got comfortable a while when they settled down as in when to feed, where to roam and where to 'perch' etc. Time to activate the Blue Fin Sonar ?
