  1. Actually I bought what I could find, so maybe it's not smart, rather it's lucky. But the final introduction of potters and flame together I did read up, that it helps divert attention. And I did choose the smallest flame as I know flame can be very hardy and aggressive. All these angels are my first time keeping except for the flame angel. The multibar at the moment seems the most stable of the lot, hopefully it remains this way. The feeding regime for the multibar is feed two days, stop one day for frozen mysis. Trying to get it to eat pellets....
  2. Does the size matter? My angel size from biggest to smallest is potters, multibar, multicolour, flame. The introduction from first to last is multibar, multicolour and flame with potters together. The multibar is the calmest, it ignores all other fishes and all others ignore it. Once in awhile it will "fray" it's fins.
  3. I currently keep the below, all feeding and doing quite ok but multibar still only on frozen Mysis. 1) Multibar Angelfish, most elegant of the lot, swims confidently and slowly ignoring everyone else 2) Multicolor Angelfish, likes to cheong alot and occasionally chases after the flame angel 3) Potter's Angelfish (male), the biggest in the tank, but quite peaceful, eats the most 4) Flame Angelfish, very small specimen, during first 2 days chased my Multicolor around but now trend has reversed All feeding greedily on NLS pellets except Multibar, wonder when I can wean it off frozen mysis and onto pellets.
  4. Finally my tank is fully stocked, crossing my fingers and monitoring to make sure there are no losses!

  5. I think a few factors buying from Bac is that the location is quite difficult to find and for those who are afraid of dogs..... There are quite a few guard dogs there!
  6. Sure no prob, do note his prices are not "cheap", but he does full quarantine, thus fishes are usually pellet feeding and healthy. You can request to feed and view. And when he is busy doing shipping, he may not have time for small talk.
  7. I think ah Bac number don't need to PM la, his number is 9009 7781
  8. When i checked last week have yellow tangs and small flame angels, unicorn fish, watanabe angel, tiggers, powder blue, powder brown, blue face angel and your typical damsels and clowns.....
  9. Would you rather keep a feeding healthy multibar or the elegance coral it is nipping on?

A bit thin and head pinched. Alert and healthy swimming but does not seem to eat enough. May have a problem keeping its weight up. Most likely will not take pellets at all and be prepared it may get thinner or stop feeding. Dun be too hopeful with this fish. The boisterous tankmates is the main problem.

  14. Selling a yellow belly blue tang at $60. Eats everything, pellets, frozen mysis and most definately red bamboo algae. Collection at tiong bahru area tomorrow early afternoon if possible. Please SMS only to 9681 five seven 17. Apologies about the poor picture.
  15. I long time never go also, few months I guess. Been very busy so not really buying new stuff, just maintaining. I would say reasonable, not very cheap nor extermely expensive. But the fishes bought from there always very healthy and Bac will show if pellet feeding or not. He has quite a strict 10 day QT for his fishes, last time I go down look and book first, then collect when the QT is over.
  16. For Bac side, I think no more dogs liao..... The last few times I went don't see dogs.
  17. I think snapping/pistol shrimps probably ML Henry has, he is a sponsor, you can drop him an sms or call to check with him.
  18. I saw many Yasha gobies in Pinnacle. Pairing Yasha and snapping shrimp is quite easy as long as they meet each other, you may want to consider buying the shrimp separately.
  19. Hope nobody gets offended and takes this lightheartedly. Found this youtube really funny, thus sharing it with you guys. http://youtu.be/aOsijzsG27U
  20. Anyone knows where to buy live mysis shrimp? Hopefully real small ones.

      Ah beng might have.

  21. Just to update reefers on the possum wrasse, I noticed a behaviour which I did not know about. My yellow banded possum wrasse seems to clean off parasites or dead skin off the other larger fishes, the fish inclines beside the possum wrasse and allows the wrasse to pick off the body and fins. Is this normal? I couldn't find any information about yellow banded possum wrasse being cleaners....
  22. I suspect your corals are touching, make sure you separate them. If they are touching each other, it's prob chemical warfare thus your tank gets cloudy.
  23. Prices here are rough estimates only and based on individual reefer's experience. Discounted and bulk buying price should not be used. Prices will vary from shop to shop due to many factors such as region/breed/size of fish, economic sense, operation cost, quarantine methods, import quantity, pellet/frozen food trained, bargaining, stock clearance, etc. Names of LFS should not be added.
