Try Sealife @ Balestier. They once had a display tank with black sand. But don't know if its the one you are looking for.

I think they just meant use the spoon that is inside the box ...

I don't think anything will happen to your chromis. But I do think your caulerpa is dying. I'd experienced the same thing. It'll turn pale and soft eventually

For weeks, i had one that never open under strong current in my main tank. Eventually, I dump it in my refugium. Now it's propagating ...

Not sure whether this will help you solve the noise ... I'm using a H&S skimmer. There was one time I took the needlewheel pump out for cleaning. And after I put it back, I found it producing a rattling noise that was not present before. Took me a few days of torment before I realise this ... The two rubber thingys that are holding the ceramic shaft in the pump ... which fit into two holes on the pump chassis. Make sure they are tightly inserted into their holes. I use white tape to go around them before firmly pushing them in. Peace at last ...

I'm running a H&S A-110-F2000. But nitrate stayed above 100. That's why I got myself a denitrator.

I'm using a 1000 on my 3 ft cos of heavy bio load ... 5 tangs that shit alot. Aquamart's near Farrer Park MRT. Map

i got my 1000 from aquamart. forgot the price ... something like 700+ or 900+. anyway, nitrate drop from 100+ppm to 2.5ppm in 4 - 5 mths.

If i'm not wrong ... the fella hurt his eye. Had a lyretail with the same problem. Eventually it got so big that it just dropped off ... left with an empty eyeball socket. But was still eating fine after that.

Think if you're going with seio ... You'll need several. For my 3ft tank, i'm already using 2x1100 and 1x620

Just to add on ... I used to run a 1.5ft tank with a canister filter ... no sump, no skimmer I would see the fishes going to the surface for air. What I did eventually was I drop in an air stone and the fishes went back to normal. Sorry for your losses ... but we gotta learn from our mistakes
