  5. Hey Derrick neat tank.. remember me? I recently got back to marine too..
  6. Yup, that might be the root of the problem.. U might wanna try the drip acclimatizing method with corals & invertebrates also as they are more sensitive to sudden water changes.. For now just wait and see what happens to your tangs, time will tell.. Thats all for now bro, good luck to your fishes Time to book in sigh.. Guard duty this week and 3 more months to ORD [OFF TOPIC!]
  7. Hmmm how did you acclimatize them when you introduced the fish? Cause if you don't do it slowly it may result in getting ich. I acclimatize my blue tang(first fish) into my 24G using the drip method and it got no ich. But for the first few days it started to rub against the rock and after that its back to normal after a week. Drip it with airline tubes for bout half an hour with bout 1 drop/sec, then pour away half the water and drip for another half an hour. After that float ur bag on the tank and slowly introduce the fish.. Thats what I did to more sensitive fishes like these ich prone tangs..
  8. yikes.. so it have been 5 days since they got the ich? Care to explain your acclimatizing procedure? That might be the problem..
  9. From my past experiences the white spots will go away after they are fully acclimatised to your tank..they have to overcome this somehow when they are introduced to a new environment. Its good that your tangs have already started feeding, u may wanna add garlic juice to the mysis to boost their immunity
  10. For those looking for lion fish, AM has really nice ones (small-med) Firefish Velvet nudibranch (good for eating flatworms but hard to keep) Small longhorn cowfish (I saw one doing somersaults Small-med clownfish Many hermits Seahare some other stuff i can't remember...
  11. Some updates of my tank stocked mostly with LPS.. I got a fungia fetish Speckles of coralline are appearing already My tank took abit of hit last week as it went without lights for about 2-3 days. Apparently someone toggled my light to actinic mode while I was in camp. The orange fungia have spots of whites like bleaching appearing at the edges.. Still with one lonely Blue tang This guy is real timid and hides at the corner of the tank most of the time.. only swims out to eat. Getting pissed off with it
  12. you can try GO for pratas n lobos.. they got quite a number of them there
  13. My tank still has quite alot of micro bubbles floating around.. How should i reduce it? I got a poly filter at the first compartment behind. Or should I add another poly filter at the last compartment to filter out the splash when the water flows down from the 2nd compartment?
  14. I saw yellow tangs at AM TK on sunday.. got quite a few left. Maybe u should give them a call before going down
  15. Hows ur acan doing? Im thinking of getting one.. Your water is sparkling clean, mine seems to have alot of detris floating around :S
