Help!! on clown fish
stevenchia replied to stevenchia's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
Thanks, my picasso clown been saved. Start to eat again. Poo go back to normal brown color. Used interpet anti-internal bacterial. Now battling next clown with mouth fungus. -
Help, anyone can cure a clown fish suddenly sick and not eating. Notice got a long white poo. Any immediate cure? Looks like diarrhea? Normally fish with same symptom doesnt last long.

Bigger tank means more water change, better equipment to sustain. Examples: filter, skimmer, better lightings, chiller etc... And research again.. Do research before you buy. Things that are nice always the 1st impulse. Always makes ppl fail in marine reefing.. My 2 cents.

White spots on clownfish
stevenchia replied to ayamdodo's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
Do a 5 mins freshwater dip but remember not to stress the fish while catching them. If u wan to be extra safe, take care on PH, temperature difference and water need to be dechlorine. -
If its feeding, it should be healing very soon. Feeding it with any meaty foods? I feeding my LPS with brine shimps... Brush away or clean away the algae so that it will able to heal faster if it is possible...

Due to the climate change, the reef environment is already in danger. Release unharmful fishes to the nature, will do more good than harm. Of cos not into the canal.. Anyway, if the fishes is feeding good and growing. Can you be sure or certain that ur pet does not end at the next owner? That is what happening to around us.. people is just buying fishes to put in the tank without proper care. Or some LFS is getting fishes without quarantine them, if you bring back home 80% they just died. Unless u quarantine them urself. Also poor water quality water at that LFS, fishes not sold away is like left there to die. I saw it too many times... at some where.. not to mention. And that is why, LFS bringing so many fishes. Most fishes ended the same way by some owner. And hoping to release fishes back to nature able to maintain the balance that problem actually caused by us the reefers. People buy more, suppliers will get more.. and this is the way it is. Some notes if releasing fishes to the nature: - Is it able to survive or look for food? - Is it poisonous fish? - Is the area u releasing is suitable? - Does it pose a threat to other species in the wild?

$3 to release to the wild.. to save the nature..

Setup about 3 months.. My main target is to keep them growing, no complaints of color since it's a cheaper setup. What's more to ask for a cheaper setup. Low electricty and low equipment cost. And no PH check and other test kit.. Just water change when i have the time. One important point, feed them well.. and they grow.

Here's the picture.. not taken clearly, but showing the grow.. in a 1 feet height tank using low cost LED.
