WOW, so much Qs on glass have answered here. Still have a couple of Qs. 1) What is the diff. between tempered glass and laminated glass? 2) Is there such a thing called laminated tempered glass?

There is one type of Polyurethane paint for boat (can be found in Home-fix DIY store) should be good for this purpose. Used it on my HDB main door, which directly under west sun all year round for five years and the door still look new.
