I got 5 individual stick of hammer coral from a reefer. Currently, I just lay them side by side on a rock. Is this right? When daytime, they will open and looks nice together. But night time, it will close and become individual stick.. I saw a video showing sticking the hammer in the sand like tree.. Should it be done that way? Any advantage?

I have a sand dollar in my tank..hard working but only can clean up to a certain extend..they are round and move in straight line. I have also a black sea cumcumber..hard working too..and it can sniff beneath rocks, area the sand dollar cannot reach.. The end product of the sea cumcumber is bullet shaped cleaned sand...haa

I think clown fishes are more susceptible to stress than the others. My chromis, damsel and angel are all doing very well. But clown keep getting white spot on their faces n died...

You will also siphon the water out, right? I do not want to change water but just hope to siphon the dirt from the sand. Or maybe can siphon the water and wrap the other end with sock and return the water back to the sump.

Any bros got good idea how to clean their sand? I mean when the whole system is running fine. Least disturbance to rocks and fishes... Get livestock to clean them? Or use a pump to pump up the dirt?
