bro from ur tank thread..i believe your tank is not ready for sps..no point throwing money down the drain just like that.. like bro tunicate mentions, water parameters plays a major part in sps husbandary. not just lighting alone..do you know your ca, mg, sr, kh, ph, temp levels? most of the bros who are sps keepers keen a keen eye on water parameters. protein skimmer helps to keep a good water quality unless one can do water changes regularly, HOB does not quite cut it...water must be clean for sps. and for such a small tank like yours, very hard to control water parameters. like you, i want to start SPS too, but i find myself flipping through my chemistry text book checking if NaHO3 precipitates CACl2 and what is a desirable result i want to achieve. i check water perimeters every 3 days, dose once a week. if i can keep my water perimeter up to par, then i will start learning about the SPS for beginners. but time is not ready... start slow, enjoy the learning process, enjoy the friendship and live a gd life!

Riding on the same headloss question, anyone knows if the performance of the chiller gets affected if the flowrate falls below the recommended one? I am using a 1200L/hr pump for chiller too, same IOS setup as fayeth. Pump > Chiller > return to tank. Recommended flowrate for chiller is 1000-2500l/hr. I did my math and estimated that my flow is around 900L/hr, will this affect the chiller performance? bro fayeth, sorry for riding on ur thread!

I am using same combi blue plus aquablue special actinic blue plus tank is more bluish compared to when I was using 2 aquablue special...

i am running a similar hp chiller too. hailea 300A. 2footer tank. Chiller kicks in about once every hr and chill for 10 mins. i thk fayeth is right. you can get an aircon man to come n service and see if it will help. Thermostat could be faulty too? Are u using other thermometer to check the temp?

hi all, got this a while back from a reefer but put off using it due to sticking back to T5s and possibly LEDs. Pics shown in comparison with a 1.5L pet bottle. Just fired it up to test only. Perfect working condition. Buyer feel free to test. 150W double ended. Comes with 3mth old Reeflux 12kk bulb that i got second hand from a reefer too.
