WIll update with pictures soon! making a nice overhang My blue tang still hangs in the corner of my tank, refuse to eat pellets, only frozen food. Anyway i can boost his "confidence" or to train him to eat pellets? What methods do you guys usually use? Sorry, still very new into marine, first tank!

Hey Digiman! Thanks for the recommendations. Thinking about going for the Bartletts and common viridis. About 3 Bartletts and 5 Chromis. Do these 2 types of fish get along well? Any aggression i should be aware of? Should i add the chromis or the bartletts first? Don't wanna make a mistake of introducing the wrong fish first. Appreciate the advise! Thanks!

Havent had any problem with bleaching so far. Its one of my first coral i got, couple of mths back. Its colour may not be as radiant as before, but its still doing well. Haha, had my fair share of experience on sand spiting gobies, they are really hardworking fishes, used to have one, created earthquakes now and then. Thinking of going in sps next.

Thanks for the recommendations Tuna. If im looking for a group of anthias less shy and will do better without hiding, Should i go with Bartletts or queen anthias? Will be nice to see my fishes swimming about my tank than hiding all day. Have a blue tang that would hide all day , he is now in my QT tank, still hiding! Anyway i can boost his "confidence"? He has more or less overcomed the ich problem i had, just very shy still.

I agree it looks unstable from the pictures. But in fact, its supported at 4 joints, making it extremly stable. Thanks all for the comments! Still trying to improve on the scape. Should i be adding some caves?

Hi Guys, This is my First Marine setup! Due to finance, only able to afford a 3ft tank. Tank has been running for about 4 months now. Had some major problem with ich, newbie mistake of adding livestock too quickly. So i took out most of my livestock, and they are in the quaranteen tank now. Gave me a good reason to do some rescaping with the inhabitants out of the way. Heres some pictures to share, appreciate some comments on the scaping! New Scape!

Hey bro, nice scapes. For a FOWLR it might be abit too much rocks, but no harm done, personel perference. =D I did use egg crates to give the skimmer some height. Maybe stack 2 or 3 eggcrates together?

Hi guys, I will be stocking up my tank with livestocks 2 mths time. Tank has been running for 5 mths now, had some problem with ich, so took all my fishes out for quranteen. Gives me a good opportuniy to select the stocks i should put in first, afriad of aggression which can lead to stress, and yet another episode of ich. Any suggestions? Will be stocking as slow as possible to avoid bioload problems, just need a heads up on which to stock first. Also is there any compatibility issues with the below mentioned fishes? Tank size + Sump = 550L Livestock in mind, 1. 2 x Splendid Leopard Wrasse 2. 1 x True Percular Clown Fish 3. 1 x Hippo Tang 4. 1 x Sohal Tang 5. 5 x Queen Anthias 6. 5 x Blue Chromis 7. 2 x Purple Firefish Appreciate some advice from the more experienced reefers! Hi Guys, Starting a 2.5ft Quranteen tank. Planning on getting a skimmer. Anyone owns a Bubble Magus NAC 3.5 Or Bubble Magus QQ (HOB)? Care to share your comments on either of the skimmers? Both has almost the same blueprints, just considering which would skim better. Thanks!

Thanks alot lemonlemon for the advise. Looks like i have a clear idea of the whole process. It may take time, but i guess it is absolutely necessary. Im skeptible still over NSW, as u mentioned the free living parasites it contains. Anyone here using NSW over a long time, and havent faced much problems? I really hope to stick to NSW if possible, but i dont want to run into more problems in the long run, Prevention better den cure as they say.

Anyone has any comments on using Natural Sea water? Does it contain alot of these **** parasites? No point i keep a fishless system, but keep doing NSW water change and reintroduce these Parasites.

Great. Thanks for the advises! I understand that ich will always be there. But was hoping that if i kept it fishless, it would allow me to "restart" the tank with a "ich free environment". Afterall, these parasites do need a host to reproduce. Anyway, i guess i will try out the fishless method first, and see how it goes after 2 months. At the mean time, will treat my fishes and make them fat n healthy. Hopefully all goes well, ich will be free from my DT.
