  5. Love the music, Love the video, Love the fishes. This tank is amazing
  6. Thats odd. I guess u can increase ur return pump flow. Else just add a powerhead for added flow.
  7. Ups for u bro. Bought a frag from jackiee before. Doing really well with great colour. More important, pest free. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks bro, also wish i could upgrade. Plans to upgrade to a 4 foot shallow has been put on hold due to finance. Will be sticking to my 2ft for some time. The parameters are pretty much stable. KH, CA and MG are all kept at a strict range. I reckon my milles are not doing well, either due to flow, lighting or too low nutrient as the tank is powered by deltec mce600, bare bottom tank plus polyplab reef resh system and rowa / carbon reactor.
  9. 1st of June! Sharing with everyone the progress so far. Changing Colour again, plenty of new growth tips. Base turning pink, not sure if you can tell from photo 0ld-----> New Stronger colour, noticable growth New---->old New---->.old New---->old Smooth skin acro from bro evo, one of my fav in the tank, thanks bro. Old---->new (Only 13days difference) New--->old And lastly, of cause not everything goes perfect. RIP corals..... Wild sps from GO old---->new Red planet from fellow reefer. Was doing well, starting encrusting at base, one day, it just stop showing any pe. Still in tank, very little PE. Cant figure out what's wrong. Frag from iwarna room, from day one no PE, thought i could revive it. In conclusion, I feel my tank still not ready for the more advance sps, mainly milleporas. I just can't seem to get good PE from them. Sigh. Will stick to the easier sps for now like monti, digi, bn, pocci since these are all growing n showing good colouration. sg: 1.025, Kh 8.0, Ca 410, Po4 0.00, No3 0.2, Mg 1410, Ph unknown Thanks for viewing.
  10. Haha nice! I always remove crabs I find that hitchhike on my sps. Take it out put in a container with holes. Until I Id to make sure. I release it back on acro if it's safe. Here's the website I use for future reference. http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchcrabs.html Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  11. Interesting scape bro. The best scape, is the scape u will enjoy looking at everyday. U planning to epoxy? Or already done epoxy? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  12. Wow that's a really nice Zoa bro. Looks the same as one of the Zoa in the r2r pic on ur first post. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  13. Oh, i hope you didnt wack too much of that vinegar. Overdosing vinegar is dangerous
  14. Yup thats an aiptasia. Better get rid of it before more starts poping out. Theres natural predatorial ways and chemical ways. For predators, can try filefish, copperband butterfly (not advisable in ur tank size) and peppermint shrimps. All the above are hit or miss. For chemicals, theres a few on the market like joe's juice, red sea aiptasia x....or more home diy like lemon juice, hot water etc etc. Google and u will get a whole list with pros n cons. Good luck.
  15. Same, only keep one. But once awhile it likes to hang out with my sunburst Anthias. Would keep more if I had a larger tank. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  16. Montiporas found! From a dame steady bro!
  17. Hi guys, I'm looking for the following Rainbow montipora - Encrusting Orange Montipora capricornis - Plating 90020585, Jarrett
  18. Nice, cant wait to see what scape you come out with!
  19. At the corner of your photo....Is that a fresh water tank or a tank full of firefish? Looks like alot of firefish goby. lol.
  20. Wah a lot of nice rocks to play around with bro! My suggestion is to really take it slow with the scaping. Do a layout on the ground, if possible stick them together with epoxy. Can even go the extra mile by drilling holes and placing pvc pipes in between if you wanna achieve your ultimate scape. A stable structures makes a good reef for a long term.
  21. Of cause, not everything in this hobby can be perfect. Heres a picture of my walt smith pocci that begin STN since feb. It recovered abit, but eventually continued stn. This was the only healthy frag i managed to save of the entire colony. Its colour has deepen by a fair bit, but still lost 90% of the coral. Hope this small frag can regrow to the beauty it once was.
  22. Welcome to the forum! Great to see a new reefer! Very soon, u will find out how addictive this hobby is Just some advice for the scaping. Depending on what you plan to keep, you might not require that many live rocks. My tip will be to have 2 main structure of live rocks. Keep the rocks from touching the glass, and leave some space for at least a toothbrush to scrub algae off the glass.
  23. Yup its one of those more known products in marine, hence my choice at that time of consideration. Read many good reviews. Personally, I didn't try it. I chose to go with algone. Due to the fact that if the poly filter gets clogged, it will need to be removed sooner than the life expectancy of the product. Algone can be kept till you notice it has a strong foul smell. I use algone only as a added safety measure. I don't depend on it as my main nitrate reducer. I may contradict myself on using a more natural approach. But its done its job since day one, and i only replace it once every two weeks. As always, 'why replace something that is not spoilt" theory.
