Thought about it before. Wanted to put a mangrove root look alike. Like those freshwater designs they used to have at aqua empire, opposite Ng couple. Never got about doing it eventually....im not sure if those artificial designs can be used for saltwater. But I reckon it should be safe. How much silicate it contains, I got no idea.

Thanks for the input guys, i guess it works as stated than. For the price, I'm not being fussy, just wanted to know if it actually did work, or just a gimmick.

They work like any standard reactor. Most reputable marine lfs should carry either one. Just make sure it is upright when u hang on back, else u get uneven flow. Can put like a folded paper or something if not balance.

I got mine from madpetz.

DD oceanic - fmr75-fluidised-reactor TwoLittleFishes - Phosban Reactor 150 Both can be hang on. I used it before

Algone works miracles for me. I used it on my nano tank previously. Nitrate drop tremendously. Great product for a temporary fix, until u can get everything under control....or alternatively just replace algone every month

Added my blue eye anthias today! Total of 9 Female, 1 Male. Now just praying I didn't overload the bioload. Guess finally achieved my dream of making a staghorn-anthias tank Heres some shots and a short video. Select 1080p if your internet allows it. Because the video has youtube stabilizer enhancer, which will blur the video if watched at low quality.

Hi guys! So I returned from my short getaway trip and finally got about to rescaping the tank. The goal was to focus more on the staghorns and allow more room for growth such that it wont burn other neighbouring corals. Removed Blue tang, 3 wrasse and starry blenny too. Als removed the group of schooling longspine cardinals and replaced it with 6 blue eye anthias. Have switched over to HW marinemix and really liking it. PE is great Will still be on full zeovit and calcium reactor with no colour elements for now Took me about 6 hours to get it all done. I hope it looks better than before, do let me know what u think. Heres the last shot of the tank before rescaping: The re scape process:
