yes, is convenient, just learn my mistake, i do it for my 4ft last month, with NSW, and do a water parameter check, the MG was depleting real fast and I have to do a WC 30%. Now the water parameter was more or less stable. Cos you need to make MG stable before adding any CA or KH. monitoring MG these few days. If your tank is small advise to use salt mix in the first place

Ya just trying to balance the water chemistry these few weeks, as NSW is low in MG, and making the calcium unstable. done a 30% WC salt mix, add 2 set of T5 light to supplement the SPS bought a clam and few coral here is the video

Hi, presently I have two G2 Maxsepct 110W on my 4ft x2ft x2ft tank having 6 sps frag at the moment. Just bought a 54Wx2 Aquazonic light set- 2 nos = 4 tubes replace one tube with Acardia marine blue tube each Thinking of replace one of the original tube with ATI any recommendation as I am confused with ATI such as blue, purple, blue special etc Thinking of 1) Acardia Marine blue 2) ATI blue special 3) ATI purple 4) Acardia Marine Blue But saw at youtube like the tank look very white and bright PLease advise 1 & 4 I just bought , have not replace 2, 3 considering the combo for 2 & 3 your advise is appreciated

What you mean add another FR for phosphate reactor? Just check with you all, mine is a new tank, top with NSW at first now is on the 2nd month, have done WC weekly with salt mix with of 10% . The reading of phosphate was at 0.03 on the 3rd week, nitrate alway at zero other then during cycling. due to sps, I need to prolong the lighting period from 3 hour to 6 hour. Add phoshate removal last week and reading as follows and is quite constant 1) Nitrate : zero 2) Phospahte : 0.02 or undetectable very very light tinted blue if u look carefully using the salifert test kit feed with hendry gourmet and a piece of seaweed daily once, 1 tang , i clown nad 6 damsel and one shrimp, and one clam realise there are green patches start to appear on top of LR, and small feather like green algae started on my wave maker. I have try growing chaeto in sump but not successful as I thought maybe the sump low in phoshate and nitrate as it has been taken care of with my NP reducing pellets, PL light have been on on sump under chaeto for 10 hour daily, but now my chaeto all die off. 1)with phosphate and nitrate at low level there is still possible to have algae? 2) I realise last nite that there are algae below one of my big gonia coral , as i place one gonia on the top rock, once i remove my coral the LR below the area surface have very visible alage how can that be possible ? as that is the least light area? thanks for all the advise
