Hey guys! yesterday i cleaned my external canister and whenever i place my hand into the aquarium i feel a slight electric shock kinda feeling!! i know its my canister cause when i off it, there isn't any electric deposit! there are no power trips, the canister works normally and yes i've swapped power sockets but still have the same problem! anyone ever came across this problem? pls help! thanks! =D

i have the same chiller as urs! i removed the back casing and placed a computer fan facing at cooling coil at a 45 degree angle! my chiller goes off for about 1 hour 20 min! but my tank is 3ft and my temp is 24 degree! BUT!!! my chiller is not anywhere near my tank! due to the heat exchange!!! so its like 10ft away and i use an external canister to pump the water in and out! remember to clean the chiller filters and to be more precise, get a digital thermometer and place it at ur main tank and sump! i don't use any other controllers!

T5 are the best!! led still not so stable yet... t5 easy to change bulbs and are sold in any LFS! but for led, its sold in specialised shops which is not so convenient! and led got transformer, so if your led's give problem, u gotta crack ur head to find if its the bulbs or transformer! i've been using t5's for 2 years now! they are great and my corals look great too! =) As years pass, led will fade off! the lighting spectrum will decrease! yes! T5 also!! but it is said that u shouldn't change all your bulbs at once! so lets say, you have 4 t5 bulbs, from back to front name them by months! so from the back will be Dec, Nov, Oct, Sep! so every year when the months approach, just change them accordingly! and you can save up alot instead of spending money one shot! i do this for my setup! hope it helps! Hey bro! IMO, angelfish are best added last into an aquarium! and i had many bad times with a koran angel!! It chased my lemon peel almost to death! pls know what you're adding into ur tank! cause to get them out, its a whole new story! I got my koran out with a DIY fish trap Cheers! ;)

HI!! Do you have a sump? well if you do, then I suggest you get a phos pad for about 6 bucks and create a small portion in your sump to grow cheto algae! then get like 1 40watt light from any light shop and hang over the algae in the sump! ensure that nothing from there returns into the main tank! so what actually happens is tt, the nutrients in the water plus the light will support the algae in the sump and therefore the algae in the main tank will die off due to the lack of its nutrients!

Well bro! I was in your state once! i knew nuts about the marine world and just thought that it was just like freshwater where you just dump everything in!! Well its good to know that you're here in Singapore and wanna start up a tank! A reef tank i suppose! The downside about having a reef tank in singapore is that you gotta have a chiller! you can afford all the corals in the world but u must must have a god dam chiller! cause our weather is just a killer! And never use a fan and direct it towards the water cause it'll just dry the water up and leave lumps of salt everywhere which is a bad idea! I'm selling my chiller which i once used for a tank which you're getting! it turns on like 4 times a day! and is ultra silent! it is still very new and is in great condition! if you're planing on a sump, you can hook up a powerhead from your sump to the chiller or you cause use an external canister which is very efficient too! i'm selling my chiller at $180 and its a great price for a good chiller which i got for $450 bucks! pls contact me @ 91006792! cheers!
