  1. i still prefer salt mix instead of buying water.
  2. u can see when the flesh is starting to degrade. little like skrinking in size and coloring is dull. basically not extended
  3. simple, ur water will may have a spike in N02 or ammonia. at least do some WC still beta for buffering incase of spike. but again parameteres like how many livestock u going to introduce and the kind of bioload, etc etc.
  4. tell u wat la...i pass u 1 hangon skimmer la. i will say beta be safe then sorry.
  5. just realise, you do not have any skimmer?
  6. haiz, maybe lets see how today.....u see my mum right..tell her she also like dat....faintz....
  7. the skimmer went crazy. 3/4 of the cup filled. doing major WC today den will test the water
  8. Father liquid went to slice becoz mother liquid (the hobbist) was spending almost the whole day (morning to evening) clearing up the mess and trying to save as many corals as possible. i did not even know, only saw it when i return....
  9. there was another refeer who suggested seeding. meaning scraping green algae from the tank to apply on the mesh to speed up the process
  10. ohh the message we all want to bring to hobbist is please also do ur WC regime and all other stuff you do to maintain water condition. this will be a add on to it....
  11. lets give it a chance since it has been set up. so far its promising....if end of 4 weeks nothing happens then will change...at least for those who is thinking of where to get lights this is good as its easily avaliable together with stand so swee swee fit. if not still can attach red led or warm light later
  12. pics of the sliced anenome. wonder if it or they will survived
  13. 2day its a sad day the the house of liquidnoise. the new anenome basically destroyed the whole tank. toppled rocks and the rocks crash quite a fair bit of corals. The owner of the tank now have to remove the rocks slowly to find any surviving corals. took out some big rocks and left surviving small corals on a frag table
  14. after showing my parents this video as well as the fact that the giant anenome destroyed the whole scape (along the way destroyed some corals as the rocks crashed down) they split the bugger to four pcs!
  15. its too late now. the anenome has destroyed the rock scape and made a huge mess. my parents after seeing the video of splitting the anenome when ahead to cut the huge bugger to 4 pcs. not sure if it will survive. but the tank is in a total mess ass they have to rescape. now they have put a frag table in the tank for the corals tat has not be crashed my the destruction
  16. I have 2 colony of zoas turning brownish and 1 going bald...can this be cause of Nubi? I have seen 1 huge 1 recently which we took out.....
  17. so technically, still possible to use white light except tat the process takes longer? Its been 6 days since the ats started...tot its pretty fast to even see browning.
  18. dead for fishes? or meat for the fishes? skimmer went crazy yesterday maybe is due to this.
  19. maybe beta to extend the pipe down into the water then the elbow. This way you reduce the salt spray as well as bubbles. but the advantage for the current set up is that it cools the water and maybe create better current.
  20. hmm, there is little cave in the rock scape tats the problem
  21. its purplish with blue tip. maybe i will take a pic tonight
  22. is the brownish coloring on the mesh signs of algae forming?
  23. So far, I have not seen any marine tank with top box. Sea horse is very hard to keep so u sure u wanna try? for corals u need chiller. From the looks u are going to budget so maybe just fishes will be fine. Corals maybe mushroons only... There are external skimmer which you may like to consider. FYI, seafood resturants also use skimmers for their live seafood tank. so wat do you think? do you need a skimmer? There is Weipro, jebo (i am using), etc etc... if budget is a constraint. But for me Jebo has proven to work very well. another reefer here say Weipro is proven for him.
