from the pic and the forming from the rainbar (btw why use rainbar) and the cloudiness in the tank. Plus the fact of the smell. I will say you water is not good. Stinking rock smell is like smelly fish smell. BTW, amonia has a stinking smell as well.

We have gotten 2 anenome just for our 3 clown fishes (have to sell 3 Gonis sobz) One of the anenome has been in the same position since Sunday when we first introduce to the tank. BUT the much bigger anenome is moving everywhere and knocking over all the corals and rocks. yesterday it moved to the wave maker and had a little of itself blended away by the wave make. We have constructed a arcylic shield but again no use as it moves all over the tank at night again. This morning for temperory solution we use a plastic contain to prison the guy of coz with breathing gaps. Any1 can help pls coz this fellow is creating chaos in the tank.

I think the question not if there is over or under but on how fast the dirty water fills up the cup. For many i think bigger the beta becoz in the even of skimmer over work the kopu O will not over spill to the sump.

liquidnoise replied to Dreams's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
sk8immer i believe is a must for most of the people here. oversize is wat many will tell u as well. sand bed is the sand u put in the tank. some say deep sand bed is not good as it hardens after 4 yrs. -
need advise on some dead sand i've bought.
liquidnoise replied to Dreams's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
erm... basically you do not know or cannot be very sure wats in the sand or if there is any copper etc. just be safe and place carbon into the filter. be safe then sorry. -
Crap ! It's a hairy crab !!
liquidnoise replied to woyeng**'s topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
think the effective way so far for my family is identify the rock tat the crab is hiding. once its in the rock hidding (thinking tat we canot see, which is correct as we cannot always see). take the whole rock out and slowly take out the crab. wat we do is tat we dun flush it down the toliet but leave it in the sump so tat it eats watever food dats dun into the sump as well as we dun kill a life. -
can it be air being relase during ammonia - NO2 to N03 process? u wanna test the water to see?

warm white? meaning t5? sorry newbie -
interesting. but my worry is tat goni will die before the training ends. BTW, i do notice they hang ard the hammer. but after a while the just swim ard. Now i see 1 try to stay near the rtba. which is a good thing

I really dun think wool absorb Kh. what i used to know is pH, GH and KH are all related. for KH reading if i am not wrong will be higher then your pH. it seems ur pH is higher then ur kH. Which means the water is not very buffered? BTW, what test kit u using? today i tried 2 brands both different reading

means ur water too much NO2 / 3?
