Took this in Monday evening with one section of it dead as the white coral plates can be seen. When it came the tenticulas were like hair. They were not bloated and like a deflated long balloon. Didnt know if they like high, mid or low low so swifted the fellow three times each time for a few hours to see how they fair. FInal spot is a low flow and realise after maybe 30mins from lifeless hair to curly short hair! the body seems to swell. Den after maybe only 5 mins starts to inflate AFter that swelling can be seen again on the body Slowly the hair started to become ballon But the baloon still not erected The good thing this morning all the balloon started erection! Late for work so didnt take pics

The problem will be tat I have corals....it started with me starting to dose Mg, Ca and Sodium....so i m thinking if there is a link

The question will be if its is harmful? shd i be overly concern?

the tank have been running for slightly more 2 mths. I have been dosing Ca, Mg and Sodium

Recently we notice brownish colouring on the glass walls as well as the white corals and shels. even white stones are turning brownish. Even the snail shell certain part also turn brownish. We notice that its the surface area tats facing the lights that shows the borwnish colouration. Is is not very very bad but white a white stone turn brownish maybe must ask why before its too late

BTW, those disc like round dried seeweed cost only 90cents! have the price of the Nori...tot it is good information.

thx for all advice....yesterday we bought from medical hall those chinese disc like seeweed which is suppose to not have anything on them. tear a few pcs. my foxface and tang and other smaller fishes took it readily! we did not put a clip but rekian, i have 1 now. the problem will be the longer or bigger seeweed seems to be a problem for them to swallow. small pcs just pops into their mouth no problems.

thx! so we just tear the seaweed and dump into the tank? or do we have to tie them up and use a weight to hold them down in the tank? my tang seems not to go to the top to feed while my damsel goes to the top. Thus the question (feel a little silly to ask)

Just a quick tot (BTW, i believe and practice cycling of tanks for mayb 2-4wks). I used to keep FW fishes (aro, stingrays, ST, FF, etc) based on stocking the tank. basical rule of thumb was like 1ft 1 fish something like that of coz there is like the fish size etc etc. bt tats the general rule. Next is the flow rate. i think somewhere (cun rem where) says 7 times flow of the tank capacity. I dun practice as the biggest was a 1264 or issit 1262 for a 6x4x2.5FGT which works perfect. does it apply to Marine tank? I m such a noob in marine

thx for the info....i think some sushi seaweed has preservatives. Guess everyone uses Nori then i will use Nori. BTW, Nori is a brand or the name of the seaweed?

If pellets or brine shrimp even mysis, will it not be difficult to feed? or just dump the feed with together with the garlic juice? Next question. I am using my UV but "untube" the cannister exposing the UV bulb. Lazy to repipe again so just put the bulb into the return pump compartment. The light from the UV will kill also the BB in the Biomedia compartment? which is the 1st compartment.

went to 2 LFS in serangoon central. they do not carry....they advice to go to marine LFS. The nearest (walking distance) will be Golden Octopus. Do they carry?

ohh. will use a bigger skimmer once i get the pump which is stupid of me as they are selling the full set. I was thinking of using back my normal power head but realise that the pump they wanna sell sucks in air and pushes the water into the skimmer. haiz...till i get the pump i will stick with 2 skimmer for now

why dun u measure all ur pipes. i actually has pipes and valves and connectors/reducer/elbows etc. tools and clamps and watever u need i have at home. so u can maybe popby my plc and cut all into size. mine is not electric saw. its man power saw for pipes. PVC pipes rite?
