UPDATE latest test result after 50% WC...two days ago was maybe abt 10%. The funny thing is different brand test kit have different measurement! Tetra NO3 25ml/l NO2 <0.3mg/l API NO3 0ppm! Why isit different from Tetra! Ca 480mg/l PO4 0.25mg/l KH/GH 10dKH or 179ppm Salinity 1.021 pH 8.23 Why pH increase after WC?

no no..dun get me wrong i m not bitching as i do enjoy seeing them biz. tats the whole purpose, they need to learn to take care of it...if those whom i bought or pick up things from. SO have to wait for my biz trip wither to china or BKK to buy becoz so far been to a few LFS but cannot find the pump AP5200 which is recommended to use for Jebo 520. BTW, i do help with the WC. carry the pails to the tank and ask them to use pump or scoop to pour into the sump. But i had to teach them to do the salt mix before they pump in the water.

The placing infront of the wavemaker seems to be very empty besides red bamboo. So far all the corals do not seem to do well in that position. Any recommendation for corals thats suitable?

isolate in a hospital tank and use meds. leave the tank empty for 3 weeks...BTW, i am also a beginner.

My Mum with the help of my Dad did 1 pail WC change. Thus will get them to do 1 pail WC everyday for a week to see if NO3 goes down. Dun wanna to do huge WC as not to stress the livestock. Besides keeps them busy which is why the tank was set up for

roger tat. I do not have a TDS as meter. The Jebo ones are like HUGE, takes up half of the empty compartment chamber in the sump. Let us try on the JEBO skimmer at first. if need be after monitoring will be to upgrade. Think will do more WC instead...haiz why did my mum choose Marine tank instead of FW tank. anyways, thx for the useful advice.

We use diamond water actually...the lights will reduce the number of hours. They say snails and other algae eaters are good to clear them. I have 2 in the tank i think but some say its not enought

We maybe getting 1 eel this weekend to add to the collection. There are lots of hole for the guy to hide. The qn I have in mind is that so far we are doing peelt & seaweed mix. We do not really feed mysis or brine shrimps (maybe 1 cube every2 wks). plus to do not spot feed. We can mix the MP to the food mix we prepare, but will the eel able to feed? we have 5 damsels, 2 foxface n 1 tang. We are concern if the eel can get to eat.

Thx alot. The LFS ran out of Mg test kit so didnt test Mg. Going to do WC today or tomorrow to reduce NO4 maybe help to lower Ca as well. But for PO4 how can we lower it? Maybe should stop doing Ca. Sodium and Mg? or maybe dose one element once a week?

there is another pcs tat seems to be doing well but its on the rocks. issit ok for tis position? so far we are just feed 5 in 1 coral food and dosing calcium, Mg and sodium. Heard they are good for corals

tested water yesterday, need to do water change. But the question, what is the ideal Ca, KH, PO4 level? Ca 500mg/l GH & KH 11dkH & 196.9ppm PO4 0.25mg/l NO2 <0.3mg/l NO3 50 - 100mg/l PH 8.2 NO2/3 is to change water and filteration to keep it as low as possible. Ca? wats the ideal level? I am doing like 1 very very small teaspoon once every 3 days Sodium and Mg as well.

color deepens. my white T5 switched on from the time we wake up till the time we sleep. which is about 8am till pass midnight. Some say its too long. Is that the reason?
