  20. Just came across the cons of using ATS.. Extracted from advanced marine aquarium Techniques book 1. The cells wall of algae tend to leak, this system often suffer from a buildup of gelbstoff that can tint the aquarium water a bit dingy yellow 2. Carbon filtration can remove most of this Material but Also remove beneficial compound. 3. It can caused wide swings in PH as the algae Utilize dissolved carbon dioxide in water. 4. Another problem with this system is difficult To identify; the growing algae obviously remove micronutrients, some of which are needed by the zooxanthellae innthe tissue of corals. So.. I doubt I will ever use one.. Lol
  21. It is common for Gumdrop Coral Croucher to spawn in an aquarium. Caution should be exercised if the aquarium contains Acropora sp. or similar SPS corals. They will lay their eggs on the underside of the coral's branch, which will cause tissue recession in that area of the coral. However, under good conditions, the coral will regenerate the lost tissue.
  22. Many parts of sentosa used to be a great coral reef.. Still got goodies down there.. Fun to catch..

      Hi Terry n braincoral,

The small black like squid is actually a squid. I caught one and it's colour change to white inside my pico tank when it stable but unfortunately, the squid has eaten by the leafy filefish this morning..!

My last weekend Sentosa lucky catch was 3 tigertail SH, 2 Leafy filefishes, 1 batfish1, 1 mini squid, 1 unknown blenny & Shrimp. There were few copperband butterflies spotted but unable to catch because they were too alert liao
