  3. Yep, Sometimes I also wondering Do one really need/or must spent on so much on equipment, latest chemical from A to Z..ended up might be more complex then the natural ocean~ hee After all..Co just want to earn profits.. Just Keep it Simple~~Back to the basics Sit back and relax~~ and this hobby will never become a burden
  4. tats gd... My main way of nutrient export is to change water twice a week.. Only 2 fishes living in my tank Not a reefer who chiong for every New Shipment..hee More Fishes = More nutrients I also no Skimmer and my filter only hang on..ten bucks..
  5. then whats the purpose of reef keeping~ Might as well have a robot take care of everything just sit back and relax~~
  6. Yes.. You might be able to run ur tank without skimmer, exp and complex system with endless water changes and Good knowledge and lots of self discipline... Thats what I am doing now For me, I more into Low cost setup but with lots of reading and stuff. This makes reefing more interesting
  7. Saw the above product selling for 2 bucks Dun know what brand~ Anyone tried it before?
  8. perhaps have to break the life cycle of velvet in the tank Maybe can try tis?: The best treatment is with copper at 0.2 mg per liter (0.2 ppm) to be repeated once in a few days if necessary. Acriflavine (trypaflavine) may be used instead at 0.2% solution (1 ml per liter). As acriflavine can possibly sterilize fish and copper can lead to poisoning, the water should be gradually changed after a cure has been effected. Best is to exercise control When buying Livestock~~ Think your tank stocks a bit far overcrowded will result in poor water parameter thus opening a doorway to all the virus etc Less Fishes~ Less Problems~Happy Reefing
  9. Think more reefers will kena tis poison very hard to find an antidote for it Agree~~ more trials~ more perfection to it and therefore can make it more easily for reefers to keep sps in the near future
  10. bro cedric house so many sps tanks~~ look like some kind of mini Lab or Sps farming facility "P
  11. so many nice pics of fish posted here... will drop in more often to learnt more about fishes from u guys
  12. Selling for $40 From Fiji Healthy livestock with me for mths Pest Free Actual Piece is more fleshy then the pic as shown pm me for details
  13. I think for the start, u should had just try out with one fish Kindly test all your water parameter before adding any more livestocks~~ Patience is the key to success in reefing
  14. bro. Hmm ur Mag too low will cause ur calcium level to be unstable too For your KH Level~ you can try without water changes then add calcium chloride to keep ca up, without using a buffer, the ca chloride should lower the kh in addition to alk being used up creatures in ur tank
  15. WTB reef disc/for holding frags~~ Anyone selling? just need 3-4 Kindly do pm me Thanks
  16. Just to add on "Cal,KH and Mg. This three elements are the top most to maintain Sps growth and health.follow by dosing of Strontium~~ Even you have the best equipment for Sps keeping. self discipline is still needed to care for them. It will be best if you can start off with monti cap or some brown out Sps. If you succeed. Then You are ready!!
  17. Just To Share, Some reefer keep sps at a level of 1026, I keeping mine at 1024. Natural Sea water of Cal is frm 400-425 ppm. Calcium reactor is not a must but it is better to have one esp if u are running a full pledge sps tank. I keeping my sps at 27 degree~ You can use Led light to keep Sps and Good and random flow is impt for the growth and health of sps. Cheers
  18. More Fishes = more Food needed = more decay matter. Just make sure that your New Setup is able to handle such bioload... It is better to stock one fish at a time rather at one go... "Patience is the key to Reef keeping"
