good HOB skimmer! upz for u!

I'm using 1 hydor nano 900l/hr. I think need one more coz seems like not getting enough flow from the other side..

Umm... I think 1200l/hr output would be a little strong coming from one direction for that size of tank...i'm using hydor nano 900l/hr. I think 2 x 900l/hr on both end would be just nice. And its ok to on 24hrs. Any input from seniors?

bro William, urm.... i think its called a brain?(someone correct me if i'm wrong...been wanting to know too) not elegance... though i used to have an elegance which grew too big for my tank... had to sell it off... bro Jacky, thanks! will snap from more angles when i can bro Ezie, i'm using LED strips of blue and pure white which i bought from sim lim. i took out the tubes, lighting wirings and sockets from an aquazonic lightset and put in the LEDS on the stock reflectors itself. The LEDs are powered by a normal adapter. Have not encounter the problem of salt crystals forming yet coz theres the plastic sheet to cover the LEDs.. nevertheless, i'm still monitoring this closely coz some bros already experience salt crystals forming and also the 3M stickers giving way. You can check out a short vid i shot of the tank before the rescape. shows alil about the light towards the end. cheers!

Thanks bros yeah i initially wanted to remove the spray bar but my tank lacks strong water flow for my BNs and Monti so i ended up using it as it helps alot.

Hi guys, just wanna share with all my nano 2ft tank. Been running for a little more than a year on external 4 stage cannister filter. Red Sea HOB Prizm Skimmer Hydor Nano Wavemaker DIY LED light that i made out of aquazonic light fixture and LED led strips i got from sim lim. Lights on for 7 hours daily. 1.5l water changes every 4 days or so. Dosing Reef Max Calcium and Magnesium every week. Fishes: 1 x Blenny 3 x Clowns 1 x Damsel Inverts: 3 x Snails 1 x abalone 1 x Cleaner Shrimp Corals: Some BNs... Monti..Mushies..yumas..zoas... Sorry but i don't know the exact names for all the LS. Will be Changing to RSM Once i move house soon though. Cheers!

I havent been dosing anymore yet the algae still around....but left with half of wad use to be la....hmmmm... hopefully the rest will disappear soon. wah if mermaid i happy!!! then i can sell to bros at Pasar Malam Corner. heehee!

Heeheehee! U all arh! Haha.... I popped 1 capsule per night into the tank lah...so far minimal effect...and yes i did remove the plastic casing hor!hehe! My tank only 2ft by 1ft by 1ft only... Not sooo wow wow like some bros here la... Anyways i checked out my tank this morning before heading to work.. Things looking good. Hopefully wasnt my sleepy eyes playing tricks on me!

Just an update, the goodbye p04 seems to be stressing out my carpet anemone right from the first dose... Might be stopping it soon.. And as for amox, already into my 3rd dose and rsa still around.. Though its showing signs of dissolving away...lets just hope it works. And btw, can i just confirm, i'm practising water changes daily now in very small amount, like 2 cups a day,does this promote high nutrient thus...promote algae growth? Or is it a good thing to do? Coz i'm getting some green algae too

Hmmmz. Very interesting! I'm having some red slime too.... Though i have just started dosing with hendrys goodbye P04, i'm gonna try to dose it with this amox capsule to supplement the recovery... And one more thing to add, these red slime algae started growing becoz something bad happened in the tank n triggered the growth... By just adding the amox capsule, yes we prevented the red slime from growing.. But we are not tackling the source of the problem n red slime will eventually come back sooner or later? I do urge all bros to also do check their filters, phosphate levels and such and not just hope the amox to give miracles... Just my two cents worth. Apart from tat, kudos TS! We now have a new weapon to battle those pesky slimes!

No problem. I wud suggest using red sea's prizm hob skimmer. Gives great skimming and u'll have to clean the collection cup every 3 days or so at the rate it is skimming. Once in awhile bros here are selling it at very good price compared to new ones outside. Been using for my 2ft tank . Happy weekend!

Hi bros, i have personally bought and tried this exact model by Rio before for a nano tank of 1ft... All i can say is...forget it. Pump works only half the time n it gives u nothing but water in the collection cup or little to none of any gunk.... Cheat my money.

Hi bro, its the normal adapter u use for netbooks and laptops 12v... you just need to diy alil to joint the wires.soldering might help.
