  1. and please don't cycle your tank with fishes or any LS in it... these are living breathing organisms. sit out and wait for the tank for finish its cycle. Add 1 piece of market prawn, and dose with bacteria for now. Cycling is the stage where your goal is to achieve a healthy colony of bacteria that will help to consume harmful waste later on.... nothing else. don't worry about any nutrients in your tank for the time being. looking forward to an established tank of urs
  2. Get the chiller. With fans, you have to deal with fluctuating temperatures. especially in our SG weather, what if the room temp is at 31degrees. fans can only bring down to 2 or 3 degrees at most. You will have no control over this. And you have to do frequent DI/RO water top up to your tank due to evaporation. That equals to more work. Just get a chiller that can cool down the water to a desired consistent temperature no matter what the room temperature is and will be. As for water flow to the chiller, to fast of a flow is also not good coz the chiller won't have time to chill the water thats flowing through. You don't need a fast flow of water. To have control over this, u can try putting a shut-off valve in between the pump and the chiller so u can manually control the flow. resun450 is too big for for your tank IMO.
  3. Very Active. Sheds its shell every few months and lay eggs every 6 months or so. eats anything not eaten by the fishes. have to let go becoz getting too big for my tank. keeps disturbing my corals. PM me for your best offer. Collection tmrw morning or this sunday ONLY at Jurong West Letting go to tanks which are at least a year old only.thanks.
  4. Thanks bros for the heads up on LEDs and MM. Yeah well seems like everywhere ran out of MM. So i'm just gonna stick with my current set up. Btw, saw a wave controller module that can make any pump or wavemaker to go into intermittent pulsating mode. Will it be okay for for the wavemaker and pumps?
  5. ahh i see i see anyways, sad news, even N30 has run out of stock of miracle mud. Seems that the agent handling MM shipments in SG is not bringing in the product anymore... 2nd choice is Caribsea Mineral Mud. But reviews about it is not too good...
  6. can try chisel hammer. be sure to hold the frag properly though... if not when it does crack apart.... pieces might fly.
  7. will definitely update since there's not much detailed reviews by users in the net... Btw any updates on the light dimmers bro? just increased the power of my Royal blue light today.
  8. looking for some if anyone can spare some. Prefer to collect either in westside (jurong) or Tampines near the central area... st 21 or so is fine with me. Thanks a lot bros!
  9. Have just ordered the H2Ocean Reef Salt from Madpetz. Gonna try switching from the current Red Sea Salts to this and see how things go. Also, tried ordering the Ecosystem Miracle Mud from Reefdepot but was told that they don't carry the item anymore and they are selling Caribsea Mineral Mud instead. Seems hard to find the Miracle Mud nowadays in Singapore. Found out that N30 is selling it. Already ordered and hopefully it will arrive soon. gonna see how good it is as compared to DSB. So far tried searching for reviews or bros using it locally but none so far. It does get good reviews from Youtube and some other forums though some prefer to stick to DSB. Gonna give it a shot of changing from DSB to Miracle Mud. $80 for a bag which will last me 1-2 years before 1/2 change sounds manageable enough for me. hopefully its a good investment. Will update more on this in weeks to come.
  10. haiya..... miss out on the wave box..... ups for ur sales bro!
  11. adding more liverocks in your tank would be good but careful not to create dead spots. cheers!

  14. Gonna Grow This Tropical Skittle!

  15. Maxspect.. not sure bro... maybe u can check it out? Maxspect are ofcoz good . Using dimmer will actually prolong the lifespan of your LEDs coz they are not working at full power. Yes it will save power.

  17. UPDATE: ALL FRAGS SOLD OUT. THANKS FOR THE GREAT SUPPORT!!!!
  18. bro slapper, the LED itself is pasted on the heatsink using the heatsink plaster (glue) provided. u have to plan out where u want your LEDs to be positioned before you apply the heatsink plaster. then u can start soldering the wires to it. For this part of the "setting up" u can actually find loads of vids on youtube on DIY LEDs for aquarium. as for the dimmer, yes it is provided. I think you need to double confirm with the Kit you are buying. they are the black knobs on top of the two golden drivers in the pictures above. I think a dimmer is a must coz if not it'll be at full power.... some corals can't take the light coz too strong. At least that is what i encountered. So get a dimmer, you can play around with the shades of lighting color to your likings with it as well. the one i got is perfect for 2ft tanks. sits nicely on top. but i'm planning to get their new LED Lighting Fixtures so at least it looks more proper. haha! If u decide to get it, i hope you enjoy ur lights! i know my corals do
  19. Hi all, I've finally found the time to ID the Green Zoas thats on sale. They are the Radioactive Dragon Eyes. Still have 2 more frags available. Please PM me if you're interested. Thanks!
  20. hi bro, the black old model how does it work? can't tell from the pics. PM me please. might need an overflow box soon. thanks
  21. i know you're not in favor of putting antibiotics in it but it worked for me after just 1 pill. problem solved within 3 days. it was like the atomic bomb that ended the war. hehz... good luck in your battle!
  22. Red Sea HOB Prizm Skimmer. Used this skimmer when i very first dipped my toes into reefing. very good skimmer IMO. gives you the dark green gunk you're looking for in the collection cup. My tank used to be a 2x1x1 when using this skimmer. once in a while there will be bros selling around $60-$120 range. if i'm not mistaken. unless you wanna buy a new one, you can find it at Qian Hu fish farm at Jalan Lekar - off lim chu kang road. they sell the skimmer and also the add-on accessories to it. not sure of price though.
