hi guys . just need some advise. i got 20kg of liverock, but all of them is dead n dry up already. my friends pass me that . so i just want know how to cycle the liverock. hmm yesterday just bought 3kg of fresh LR. i throw it into my tank. b4 that i had cycle the tank water for abt 3 weeks already. so now my tank contant 3 kg of fresh liverock, 10 kg of dead LR and sand inside. hmm shld i add in a raw prawn? for bacteria? anyway how u guys can help me with that ~! thanx

yeah reborn got sell liverock. quite alots .. but ex sial .. $10/kg me just bought 3kg haiz anyway i i bought 20kg for $50of liverock from my friend. but is dead and dry.. so i just throw it together with my fresh liverock to cycle? need how long? 1 month?

yeah i m just a greenhorn. see some of the threat from this forum. just have some questions to ask u guys. i guess is abit newbiz, i wish u guys give me some advise. i m planning to setup a 3ft tank. currently on the verge on saving $$$. just getting some info on the setup. shld i hang my lighting or just put ontop of my tank? 1. 3ft tank is abt how many gallon. and abt the watts/gallon theory 2. where can i get good, cheap reflectors? from Kelantan Lane? [can any1 give me the address. thanx] 3. 10000K 36watts and 10000K 50watts. which i shld i get ? shld i get just two 55 watts so is nt as hot as three 36 watt. what abt 10000k compare to 6500K. sorrie i guess all this questions are abit stupid to ask. but i m really blurr with it. i hope some1 can give some gd advise, maybe with pictures on the diy lightings. between shld i go sinter electical at simlim or nature aquarium to get my stuff. ya lastly, which type of diy fan shld i get? ac or dc fans?, how many needed to cool down 3 ft tank? hi guys i do have some problem for setting up my marine tank. i had a bad experience b4, me staying in bt batok, so nearest lfs is bt timah lfs. bought some stuff there. GOT CHEATED by the owner. wanted to setup a 2ft tank.... and it cost me $68 just for 1 ungravel filter, air pump, salt, Hydrometer, a small bottle of kalkwasser and a bottle of EASY LIFE liquid [i guess it is bio-bacteria in a bottle.. or crystal clear stuff] damn EX. cannot really blame any1, is my own fault that i nv do research at all. i have learn my lesson. 1. i have a 2ft tank at hm, but i have found out that is better to setup a 3 ft tank. so for the min thickness is abt how many mm? 10mm enough? 2. FILTER, a sump or a canister filter, which 1 is better and is lower in budget. what if i get canister filter, eheim, Jagno, Fluval, which 1 is worth to get. any worth buying model to intro? if i do a sump, i must have 2 protein skimmer? 1 in sump, 1 in my main tank huh? 3. PROTEIN SKIMMER 3ft tank, if i use 1 orca skimmer, izzit gd enough? 4. CHILLER 3ft tank, izzit a must to have chiller? i can use av fan to cool it down at constant temp rite? 5. LIGHTING white FL gd enough for 3 ft tank? how to calculator it huh. how much lighting i shld put, i will be keeping mainly liverock, soft coral n fishes only, maybe a bit of hard cora 6. TEST KITS Sera, Tetra gd? how much it cost per set? izzit recommand to get 5 in 1 testkit? 7. LIVE ROCK, at this period of time, veri hard to find liverock rite? correct me if i m wrong. any recommanded place to buy cheap liverock, how many kg shld i buy? i hope all this problem , u guys can help me. i m just a student, so on veri low budget, $400> i can get all my euqipment? any reliable lfs or farm u guys can intro i heard that nature aquarium selling equipment at cheap prices, izzit true? hope u guys can help me out, thanx 10000000xxxxx

"nt worth to buy 2nd hand. maybe the previous owner keep the marine fishes all dead cos of some illness. then have virus inside the equipment." if i buy, how to clear all those? i hope u guys give me some advise abt that. thanx
