  1. My yellowhead jawfish died yesterday due to infection at the bottom of the mouth. Called Joe from Iwarna about it and immediately he responded! Very good after sale service i would say !

  6. Great ! Relieved to hear you are staying near them. Do not add anymore fish or livestock for the time being - till your tank reaches 1 month old . Since you have not yet cycle your water, just simply buy a big container to store water and perform more water change. Just buy salt mix water dont get seawater if u intend to store for backup. As sea water has living organism which will die off thus cannot stored in container for long if remain stagnant. Remember to top up evaporated water with distilled water ( not tap water or seawater). You should observe for hair algae and diatom during this period while getting a test kit. Get to know reefer near you if can, incase when situation went out of control . You can ask him to temporary home/ keep ur coral All the best !
  7. Thanks Derrick! Do you mind to give me a link to your thread so i can read up on the filefish.
  8. A lil worried when you mentioned harlequin shrimp. They normally slowly munch their dying starfish and the wound of the starfish will decompose and slowly waste off that will produce high nutrient. May i know do you have a skimmer ? If not i'll suggest you to do more water change . 20-30% every week since your tank volume is small . Alternatively, u can cut off bits of the leg and left the remaining in a small breeding box for it to heal. May i know if your tank is cycled ?
  9. No Problem. Maybe my tank still quite new therefore not much issue yet. When livestock increases, and the balance (equilibrium) are off - thats when situation arise. The ideal is to let your tank reach equilibrium ( self sustaining or minimal cleaning ) but you know la , it's hard to resist not buying :X
  10. My Water Parameter still doing good at 0 ppm ( as of last week when i do my water test ). Will be doing 20% WC ( every 2 weeks) on this Monday and change the filter's Media ( every 2 months ) Slight hair algae growth, mostly were munched by blue tang and after sometime the algae will turn white. I avoid feeding frozen food as i realise the skimmer goes crazy when i turned it on after feeding. - seed Tisbe copepods to eat over left food. - dose BW Bactor7, Biofuel , It's Clear , Coral Stimulator ( 1 drop / day ) - Wash wave maker every week as most food always stuck there.

  12. Look for Joe at Iwarna, saw 3 pieces on Monday. Bought 1 of it . As for TFC, they replied 4 red notes for small , 50 for big ( thats was quoted to me last week )
  13. Ok , sorry for my assumption. My apology solasido Anyway the file fish is pecking on some flakes that sank on the QT floor . Found something interesting is that , Harlequin Filefish's head rarely points upwards. Most of the time pointing downward or forward.
  14. I never say it is from Iwarna. Please dont assumeor speculate. Theres no Harlequin filefish or i didnt see any in fuel's shipment yesterday.
  15. Helfrichi Dartfish Placed this guy in my DT but this morning woke up and found it in my quarantine box where the filefish is . The amazing thing is the QT is covered with a lid but a very small hole in the middle . Thank God still alive and didnt jumped out of Tank !
  16. Things i learnt for the past 2 month : 1) Always choose and examine your livestock carefully. If none of the fish u want is healthy, wait for the next shipment. 2) Do your studies and research on your fish before purchase as it is your responsibility to keep it healthy and alive. 3) Make more friends here as they will inherit their valuable knowledge and info !
  17. Yup ! It's my bad , now i'm taking the responsibility. I did ask the LFS about this fish's dietary but he just say this fish will eat one. Then i ask will it nip at corals ? He answered , " all fish nip corals so it's normal . " Came back home and went to check website. BAM ! Ho Seh Liao ! So now i'm quarantine it and training it to feed while posting here to sell and hoping someone to keep it healthy at least
