  4. I cant help u much but for my situation is : White spots only appear at night and disappear in the day.
  5. Garlic will boost the immunity of the fish to fight against diseases themselves. Use copper if you are keep FOWLR or running a hospital tank separate from display tank as overdose of copper will cause fish not to eat and if you dose direct in display tank it will harm livestock if you have invertebrates/coral . It is best you can find exp-ed reefer staying ard you to help you.
  6. The reason i opt for red sea cause it is very sleek and there is a designer ego in me. Its not really loud , i would say its quite quiet if you know where to plug the air tube. I top up manually using fairprice distilled water. Those $1.05 for 2 bottles type as my volume is not much
  7. I think its chinese new year in china therefore the sale rep are off. If i'm not wrong east ocean carries e.shine but not sure they have the model you want
  8. I am using red sea prizm hob skimmer ( not really powerful but should do a decent job if your tank is not fully stocked with fish ) . Doing WC change every 2 weeks using salt mixed water, cleaning and change of media of canister is every 2 months , wavemaker - i will try to rinse daily as food always stuck there. My nitrate and po4 is controlled by additives . Recently i increased 2 drops/day ( see my signature at btm if you wan to know the additives i am using ) . I using biohome plus, chemi pure, sponge filter from usa ( not sure what brand ) Not using chiller Evaporation rate is 3 litres/week. Hope it helps !
  9. You can read on the parasite and disease section in this forum. Theres 2-3 ways that 100% remove lch but must exercise extreme precaution !
  10. My midas and blue tang has this issue months ago. I went to buy garlic guard and soak with tdo plus cyclopeeze to feed them. Doing regular water change and added a cleaner shrimp. After a month of battle, all are cleared from Ich. But that doesnt mean lch will never come again. Once the fishes are stressed or your water para is going downwards, lch will plague All the best!
  11. Advisable to keep below 29-28 degrees. Depends on type of anemone you are keeping , deep water anemone requires colder temp as their natural environment are so .
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5ny6KJuKhs#t=2591 For those who are interested about deep sea fishes and how deep sea creatures affect mankind, This documentary is definitely for you !
  13. Just make sure your tank is matured enough for anemone. Not recommended for new tank !
  14. Wahh ! Envy ! I cant keep for more than a week. Both died . First - infection at the mouth ( a big red patch at lower jaw ) not active even at LFS . Second - melted fin and tail , skin seems to be wearing . May i know is there any other invertebrates in your tank and which LFS you got the jawfish from ? Seems like i'm unable to get a healthy specimen .
  15. Ha ! Thanks for sharing some interesting experiences !
