  1. Maybe u can consider biopellet in one and a mix if phosban and carbon in the other...
  2. Ya i was quite surprised too... Initially i tot 1 mp40 enuf then apparently not... So added another mp10... Still not there... So added a tunze 6015, somehow spoilt so in goes the wp40 lor... Dun get me wrong, the mp40 is good for an overall flow at least at top 66% of the tank but i find it not random enuf so the mp10 went in in hope to aid it... But prob came when i realise the front of the tank (nearer to where the mps are placed) are getting good flow but the back by the time the flow disperse there kinda weak liao... So i added the wp40... I think the wp40 helped to circulate the back to the front and also cos of the power brings more flow to the bottom part of the tank too... At least now i can see more swaying of the corals below... Previously was like slow floating movement... Effort wise i dare say is very much similar to everyone else here... Just abit more anal to details and until today, every 2-3 days i still test water to do adjustments... Polyp extension is good for the acros, digi and birdnest kena disturb by the flame so only open little by day and fully at night... Since i gave up catching him, i decided to look at the bright side and enjoy the natural colours of the skin... Haha Its a hobby! Need to enjoy else can give up liao... For weird reasons, i just cannot stop fiddling with the tank... CO nagging is starting liao.. Only saving grace is my son is just as crazy... Haha
  3. You are hilarious bro... Haha... The someday wont be so soon la... Haha... Much more nicer ones out there for sure...
  4. Nah... Its the lighting la... I cant seem to get the representation right... The colours here are closer to the high blues at night hours... During the 10-20k lighting period, its less vibrant other then for the blues and green... Still trying to adjust till it looks perfect for me... Haha... Ya nice products give it a try if it allows... I still wanna grab ur frags bro! Haha
  5. Yaya... Something like a tong but long enuf to reach bottom of 2.5ft tank to pick up my clam and adjust him to a better location... I saw b4 is like black handle with red calipers(grabbing part)
  6. Bro thanks for offering but its a tad far for me... Travelling there and back and again is a challenge! Haha
  7. Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has a extended grip/caliper or i have no idea what it is called but those stick with a giap giap at one end to pick up stuff from the bottom of the tank that they could lend me for a short while? I have a big clam which my normal small caliper cannot bring up and one of those would suffice... But buying makes no sense as thats probably the only thing that requires the caliper... Preferable in the east (siglap, katong, bedok) area as i just need to pick it up and adjust it back to position and can return liao... Willing to buy u a drink and put a deposit... Thanks all for reading. Example of a small version: I looking for the one with the big fingers in front... Pls sms me 9654--5599 Thanks all!
  8. Phosban in 1 and carbon in the other
  9. Today got shipment? Nice pieces bro... If too big frag some and sell me k
  10. A short update: Equipment changes: 1)Added another wp40 to my arsenal of wavemakers... Think is because of the height, my mp40 and mp10 at full blast sync TSM mode doesnt seem to suffice. 2) removed biopellet from my setup as i came to realise that it was not supposed to be used with the zeolites... Bad mistake to take it out at a go as it did cause abit of diatom but it is getting better. 3) today added 2 tubes of t5 for aesthetic purpose... I still like the flooding feeling of the t5. Just to note, the radion w tir lens is colouring up and growing my frags Nothing much other then the above have changed thank god! Some pics to share FTS: Misc shots: My millie corner (a loripe got in the way): Digitatas n birdnest n carolina: Top of tank with most of the light demanding acros: Any suggestions and feedback will be welcomed
  11. Haha... The proper procedure other then the cycling n cleaning liverock probably the same thing... This is getting quite hilarious...
  12. Btw, it takes like couple of mins for the wave pattern to form properly every time u adjust the power.. So adjust, relax, see and adjust again if necessary... My tank is 2.5ft w 1 inch of sand, i place the wp40 on the overflow wall abt 1/3 the way down from the surface... meaning that the distance btw the wp40 and the facing wall is less then 1.5ft, slightly tilted to bounce of back wall of tank... Hope it helps
  13. I really wont know what it is like i actual volume etc... But at 25% the distance between the wave crest and wave trough is about 1 inch... Given my small size. I do not really see a full wave but rather water level will go up on the left side and down on the right... Vice versa... I tune up to about 50+% the distance in my tank can see like 3-4inches!!
  14. If the reason for wanting to restart is to expect a shorter time required to get the tank "ready" for sps i think u will be better off learning to manage your present nutrient levels... Its a skill-set that is highly relevant and necessary in this hobby... Resetting will only give you a temporary felling of solving the problem... In time to come the issue will again compound and come after you...
  15. I using the wp40 inside my 2x2x2.5height together w an mp40 and mp10 set at w1 mode at 25%... i actually can go higher with solid waves but i did not as the waves created will hit my top braces resulting in splashing.. I still think for the price a good pump, reliability not known yet as still new...
  16. If its within ur budget, u can consider getting a par38 bro
  17. Nice tank! Just curious, do u hv a screen covering the exposed wires n stuff? Dunno much abt diying so wondering if sale spray, water, etc might get to the wiring.
