Anyone watching it now on channel 411?? It is damn sad to see how this buggers are stripping ornamental fishes off Indonesia's reef...
Go watch! Till 11pm
Actually i was previously using the TLF Phosban reactor for biopellets as well and if i remembered correctly, it is actually advised in the manual to turn up the flow weekly to prevent the clumping from happening... I used it for couple of months with no issues...
Also u might wanna check the flow size cos i remembered TLF suggested smthg like 300+ gallon per hour for use with bio pellet
I think what bro Kakani meant was dimming the lighting down and slowly increasing the lighting intensity over a period of time (eg 6weeks)
Sudden increase in light intensity will cause the expulsion of zooxanthellae resulting in "bleaching".
Also the holder is available at most lighting shops, ikea and also some of the sponsors here...
Any reason why? Using tapatalk with iphone5.
Didnt have this issue previously. Any help will be great

Think of RV as an appetite stimulant... When used, the take up of trace element becomes more efficient.
Essentially colour elements should be dose when encountering paling of colours...
Personally i started w RV and concurrently stop dosing colour elements until recently when i realise paling then i start again.
For UltraAmin same thing, my dosage drop to almost 30% of my previous dose...

Happy reefing!
this setup would be like that of a typical Dt and sump setup... If tank 1 (DT) flow to tank 2 (Sump) and connected to chiller it will work...
Based on the flow rate thru the chiller, i don't think the difference btw top and bottom tank would diff much.
If bottom tank warms up, the chiller would kick in cooling down water and moving it down to bottom tank... Once initially chilling is complete should be fine
Very innovative
Just a few points to discuss:
1) since u already constructed a "sump", ever thought of running a proper skimmer in the sump?
2) seems like alot of tubing in DT, maybe can consider running ur chiller from sump
3) canister i think abit redundant
4) your phosban reactor can consider to T-off from piping returning water to DT... No need additional control value as the reactor comes with it and you also save yourself 1 pump
Just 2 cents to dwell on
