  4. Give it a bit of time, dose bacteria, allow for biopellet to set in, get some cleaning crews like snails, narcissus and turbo maybe some brittle stars, abalone, etc to feed of the algae... Run a phosphate reactor over time should settle down if you also watch ur feeding send via tapa

  6. Yes light needed, not necessarily from the sun... Just run the lights on it when ur tank lights are on lor... No guarantee wont die either cos other factors like nutrients, etc play a part too. If u have a sump light it up when ur DT lights are off can balance up ph a little too Need to constantly trim too... GL send via tapa

  8. I think take out the rock its hiding in fresh water deep see if it comes out? Not an expert w pest elimination... I was lucky... One night I came out and on the light and saw it and it's hiding spot so I just kept camping there and monitoring and one day out of the blue it was hanging outside its hole and I just picked it our w my tweezer...

  14. Im using the 28 for my 2x2x2.5 with sump total approx 350litres... Only kicks in two or 3 times a day for abt 10mins... Very quiet piece i must say... Didnt notice any significant increase in bills either... Disclaimer: no lights yet as im cycling my tank send via tapa

  16. Not too sure but im a sand person... My main use for sand is primarily aesthetics & probably another body for beneficial bacteria to host... I think the deep sand bed thingy doesnt seem that popular nowadays so i kinda remember reading somewhere that if want sand best not to have it too think else sudden disturbance of the sand may result in release of trapped "toxins", tipping the balance of the system...   20. I think the whole idea is to introduce some form of decaying matter to pollute the tank to kick start the bacteria "growing" process. Correct me if im wrong but without a food source (nh4/no2) excess bateria would also die off if we dose right? Sorry to hijack ur thread to ask this TS send via tapa
