  1. Maybe not enuf flow thru the reactor resulting in this... Manually remove?
  2. I got a colony of acro dunno what from iwarna same shipment too... The blue blue one... Seems ok so far la... Touch wood! I change water biweekly 10% w ddh2o...
  3. Have fun with it and update us on the progress k!
  4. ok la small frag bo pian... what lighting u using? like it or not u need to acclimatise the sps to your lights too... if you can adjust your light lower it and progressively increase the intensity. otherwise put it lower and manually shift up until the exact location you want to place it... too sudden too much light will also cause the sps to release the zooxanthellae. In case you are not familiar, zoox are tiny algae that resides within the soft tissue of the coral.. it is the zoox that give the coral their colours. The zoox photosynthesis during lighting hours and the coral benefits from the by product. if too much light, the coral dun need so much zoox to produce "food" for them and have the ability to "release" these zoox. Problem comes when the corals are stress and they over release the zoox resulting in the so call bleaching. hope the info helps, i plugged off the internet. btw, frags from members existing tanks tend to be hardier and do better then wild colonies. nonetheless, maintain good para and they should still do decently well and acclimatise to your tank. btw, was also reading up on polyp extension recently, try to take a torch light at night when lights are off bout an hour or so see if the polyps open out, if they do, at least still got a decent amount of hope... good luck bro!
  5. hmm.... i also cannot say for sure leh.... mine took 2 weeks to kick in but i made a mistake and put full dosage, resulting in multiple mini cycles to kick in, massive bacteria bloom.... patience la... the more you ignore your tank, the better it will become! hhaha by ignore i dun mean no maintenance hor.... just that sometimes when doing stuff, we tend to be over eager and hope for over night miracles...
  6. Saw the razor, nice colours no doubt! Never tried it before though... Have to get used to the colour of led vs t5... Ya I saw the AI too! very nice... But I will stick to my radion
  7. I really have to give many recommendations to Fauna Marine's products! I am almost exclusively on their products and considering my tank is only setup in Nov and only started proper sps stocking in January, the colours and growth of the sps are I'm never a fan of single brand usage but FM really rocks! I have since ditched most of my other products and converted to theirs. Other then my biopellets, carbon, CA, mg kh powder and Phosban, all other additive comes from FM. Dosage instructions are available on the bottle and if I did not remember wrongly, you can dose weekly for the colour elements. I dose 3 times a week instead just to be on the safe side. However, from my best understanding the colour elements should only be used when u achieve low low nutrients level... Have fun! Btw I'm not affiliated to FM in anyway
  8. Guess better to hear Wat the other experts have to say... Can't diagnose, sorry to waste ur time
  9. nice tank & sunburst btw... give it a little more time and see how it is la... how are the colours holding up? i see many other frags, how are the excrusting?
  10. Im one of those belivers of led. i have used both t5 and MH before and i loved them both. the initial concern i had on led was not unlike many but after giving it a try i have been stucked to it. I believe to make a decent comprism we should use a quality set of LED. One that is able to cater to the differ par/spectrum requirement of the sps. I have been using 2 nos of Par38 in my office cube and also radion on my home tank. So far really have no complains about them. my sps are growing well. color wise it is only getting better. however, i like the "flooding" effect that t5 provides, i.e. the tank water looks like a single blue/purplish shade and it does help aesthetically to make the sps look so much better... either way, each has its own benefits and constrains and i have since chosen my own type of poison... LOL
  11. try to cut it with a pen knife near as close to the base connecting to the rock as possible. there are risk involved.
  12. Have to provide para for better suggestions cos from the look of your sps parameters seems Abit off... No expert though... Just my 2 cents
  13. Btw bio pellet takes awhile to kick in and best start with half dosage first and slowly increase
  14. Coral also must slowly add la... Ur system must be ready for the extra load, so if u do it slowly u allow time for nitrifying bac population to grow and handle the extra load progressively... Manual = use hand go in and pluck Nything u can lor... If cant then allow cuc n the bio pellet n rowa to do their magic...
  15. Clean up crew, manual removal of algae, check your media is working, rowa and carbon not exhausted... Control feeding and addition of new stuff for the time being
  16. Interesting cos from ur earlier photo nutrients like quite high... Sps will do better with controlled nutrients
  17. Anyone got a frag for sale? Purple/blue/red oso can
  18. Bro pm me I got some to give away anyway...
  19. Try ecoxotic stunner strips, they have the all blue or blue and red ones... Very nice aesthetically
  20. how you export your nutrients? Biopellet, Rowa,Algae Scrubber, etc?
