  1. Dunno leh, maybe my sources outdated liao... Haha... http://reefbuilders.com/2008/07/13/christmas-tree-worms-spirobranchus-giganteus-guide/ http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2002/9/inverts
  2. Thanks bro! Managed to get a second hand from 1 of the reefer here
  3. bro any lfs still got stock for wp40? thinking of getting 1 to try out... tks
  4. How long has ur tank been cycling? Nsw or saltmix? Once cycle complete, ammonia and nitrite should be at 0... Hard to know unless u start measuring parameters from 1st time water put in, else u can start now and see if ur nh3 & no2 can hit 0 while your no3 creeps up
  5. Ya i think so too.. Dunno how to appreciate leh... Plus not easy to keep for long too...
  6. Have man... Do a google will see so many differ colour renditions! I got no feelings for them else get liao... I think those christmas tree worm also same family
  7. From last pic look like zoa or some mushroom leh... If its is shld be ok to leave it alone la
  8. Not familiar w CR but if u are looking at alternatives why not consider mixing ur own ca, kh & mg? Significantly cheaper... Not surprising for high consumption actually, for my other 34l tank i dose almost 30ml per day too... I tot i was the only one... Haha... Anyway since changed to self mix since i make by 10litres stock at home
  9. Actually u do a search on RC u do get quite a bit of results... Also if I remembered correctly, madpetz has an sps tank (yes the one w the huge clam) that is completely on LEDs... I witness the tank a year ago vs recently and u can see how his sps have grown from frags to colonies... Coloration is Do pop by to have a look it may change your perception of this rather juvenile light source Another issue for limited pictures may also be that compared to t5 or mh, it's really difficult to take proper photos and have correct colour representation of a system lighted by LEDs...
  10. Sabellidae (feather duster worm) bro Tube anemone quite different Some details of both for ur reading pleasure: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2004/6/inverts (tube anemone) http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2002/8/inverts (feather duster)
  11. Still thanks for the update... Guess have to wait for stocks to arrive again....
  12. Cut back the biopellet by 50% then weekly slowly add a bit more until ur final desired amount... No need to throw away, can keep in airtight container keep damp but not soaking in water Good luck
  13. I tend to differ with the LED spectrum thing... I do agree beamswork or similar sets may not have what it takes but there are pro sets out there that serves the purpose well... Likewise i tend to agree with 250w mh and up
  14. Btw, not sure if u r aware but if u dosing c-balance 2parts it is necessary to dose in equal amounts due to ionic balance or smthg.., If low calcium u should use calcium chloride to just raise Ca... If u increase both dosage just to increase Ca u will increase kh as well.. Lastly u shldnt dose more part a n less part b as it doesnt work that way Just fyi
  15. How come count in seconds? Blur... If in ml got a shorter method but if urs do in seconds, i suggest stopping dosing for 24hrs and find out how much CA drop by... Example if 24hrs later your CA drop from 411 to 382, u would know that your 140 seconds contributes 14ppt per day... 426 - 411=15ppt (shortfall) 411-382=29 29 - 15(shortfall) =14 Therefore your 140seconds brings CA up by 14 ppt and each seconds brings it up by 0.1 ppt so to cover the shortfall u need to increase ur dose by 150 seconds (15/0.1)... Im exaggerating the figures for easy calculations... Hope it helps... Also interesting to see how fast ur ca is depleting..
  16. Also, i think u should step ur wave maker to whatever setting u want to maintain it at, over time it should still settle down
  17. Filter sock for me helps... You might want to find the cause for ur excessive detritus...
