Reserved. Thanks

Smsed.. Thanks

hey bro u might want to look at the aquazonic 1.5ft lighting (16w x 2 tubes). The one feet lighting too low power (think only max 6-8w x 2) for your frag tank haha. I am using the 1.5 ft for my 1ft.

Update of fully opened coral

Thanks bro, hopefully they can be maintained in the long run. Yup Jacky save the $100 dollars on other stuff I almost made that mistake lol.

Agreed it is not the best alternatives. For my case, the TEM chiller works well even with recent hot temperature my tank can stabilized around 28C on average and going up to 29C in hot noon and down to 27C at night. Though fan can cool my tank down to 26-27C on a hot afternoon , the daily water top-up is too drastic for my nano tank. Not the best setup but think it is sustainable. Will observed a few more weeks before i update

Bought from AM recently. Reason of changing due to the space constraint in my nano. Wanted to sell the coral for ($10) and also willing to trade for any ric / yuma (open to topup too) Please drop me a pm (with pics if trading with coral). Thanks

Thanks bro, will heed ur advice. Will take out the goniopora soon, as find it too big when it is fully open. Trying to get a frogspawn from another bro to replace it. As for the carbon, will pm u to find out more abt it. Thanks for offering too

Nice scaping.. What kind of filtration is used?
-
Nice bro! 25% approved. Top up to full tank and nothing can be changed haha. Really looking forward to your setup:)
-
Thanks bro, I agree. Though it might not have strong chilling capacity like compressor based ones. Right now very happy with it's performance:) But can any bro advise if the sps (bleached) affected by the heat wave recover to it's normal state? Also if the flowerpots coral (goniopora. Spp) is suitable for nano (thought it was the alveo. Spp). The one I have can't be frag and afraid it might overun my tank. If it is bad am thinking of swapping it for a frogspawn if it is suitable. I also have activated carbon (small granulated ones) in my hob as my chemical filter, is there brand that is particularly reliable? Am using the $1 per pack and planning to change it monthly. Thanks! Sorry for asking so much question.

Some updates:) Upgraded my fan to a iceprobe as suggested by quite a few bro. Quite happy as it manage to maintain temperature within 28-29c with little evaporation. FTS One of my SPS affected by the drastic temp fluctuation and was bleached. But re-adjusted its location and changed to iceprobe, it seems to recover abit (though it still look bleached, will it get back to the initiate coloration?) The other SPS seems to be healthy and growth was observed (SPS thicken with new polyp started to form) Here are some other random shot Flowerpot coral My mushrooms

Nice scape there. Like your second scape more:)

Thanks Bro ACCK, Yup, I did consider that before. Think one of the bro is selling it. PMed but no reply. Do you have the rough footprint of the chiller? Cannot find any details on it from the Teco site (as they have remove it from production). Hoping the bro will get back to me soon as i am urgently looking at getting a chiller. Thanks again!
-
Thank you for your detail explanation. Been searching high and low for this kind of product review. Thanks bro. This is something interesting to note. Definitely information from people in peltier technology will know. For my case, think chiller may be impossible, so have to fall back on iceprobe. Bro thanks for all the reviews. Though there is good and bad reviews, this really highlight to me that whether it work anot really depend on my location and environment. Guess i will go ahead and try it Thanks all bro that contribute, be it in PM or in this thread. Really learn alot. Thanks again!

Really appreciate your information bro. Forget to add in more background details of my tank. I am using a 1ft cube tank (probably around <7 gallon after adding live rock and 2" sand bed) with 32w T5 lighting and wavemaker running. If I am getting the iceprobe, my plan is to mount it onto a hang on filter. Here is a link to my thread Was advice by a couple of nice bro on getting iceprobe, so trying to get a second hand but tough Therefore thinking of getting a new one. Thanks I agree with getting resun280 (i wish i could, family grumbling - plans to make is it as small as possible), but footprint of the chiller is too big for my location. Mind if you could elaborate on TEC degrading, anything happen to your iceprobe?

Thanks bro, will give them a call. Thanks bro, will drop him a pm for his advice.

Hi Bro, Was wondering you have any luck in locating the material for the cooling fin. I am also thinking of DIY tem chiller but stuck with the same problem. Thanks
-
Does anybody know if any shop holds coolworks iceprobe chiller other than the online aquarium shop? Many thanks
-
Yishun aquastar also have lots of stock too. Just in case u stay in the north.

Thanks Terryz, Temp swing is very minor in my tank maybe from 27-28.5c max. Only worry was the constant water topup guess this is not too good for my tank. Thinking of iceprobe or the dolphin mini chiller (anyone use this before? any comments? price is more affordable for a non-compressor chiller comparing to iceprobe, but not so sure about efficiency). Yup 16w T5 lighting from aquazonic for 1.5ft is in the market, is it still neccessary for LED? Thanks. Really appreciate all these question, really help me in improving. Keep it coming
