  1. Hi Bro nicreef, While you are feeding with live copepods , you can slowly train him to eat with palette or frozen brine shrimps. I trained my mandarins with frozen brine shrimps and they are used to eat it now. But they prefer low flow when they are feeding since they are slow hunter for foods. And it is more easier to train a pair than a single mandarin. When the one is eating frozen, the another one will be easily to follow. IMO Enjoy!
  2. Thanks Terryz- for your helped. DeadmanZ > I used Filter Sock at Main Drain Pipe, then I have to change it twice per week since it was block every 3 days. When the filter sock was block, the water level inside the over flow box is a bit high and the second drain start working. I installed the Second Outlet above the water level of sump to hear the sound when water start coming out. Then I adjust the Valve at Main Drain to reduce the outlet flow, If i'm not able to change the Filter Sock. That's why I mentioned about the timing to adjust the valve in my previous comments. You are right it is quite risky unless you installed Complete Herbie method with 3 stand pipes. But you still have to adjust it once when you do water change.
  3. It should be fine, if you can make your timing to adjust the valve. And what is your water level from the edge of your tank? Mine is just 25mm away from top age and that is the reason I designed two over flow stand pipes to be get the stable level of display tank water. If I don't want to drain the water from second stand pipe, I have to adjust my valve two times per week. Hope my info will help you
  4. Hi Bros, I designed my overflow as Herbie style overflow with 2 outlet stand pipe and installed the ball valve at the outlet pipe from tank to the sump. Although Herbie style worked very well, I still need to adjust ball valve when it is necessary. So, I agreed with Bro megacue concept and it could be serve with safe and ease for you. Happy Reefing in Dead Silent ! linko p.s . Dear reefer guy, May I know where can I get that Maggie Muffler locally ?

  13. Yes, It is my first priority and I've been tried to get either RN or Algagen - Tisbe 's flying copepods. Unfortunately Madpetz has out of stock and I don't know where to get one of those. I'm interesting your second idea about feeding with floating zooplankton and I'll also try it soon. Thanks you so much Bro.

  15. Thank you Bros Firestarter, pitto and bhtteo, I felt more confortable now because of your encouragements. And got more confidence to let them w/o feeding for all 4 days since I got many votes to do on it.
  16. Absolutely you are right Bro. It is another issue unless I can DIY something like the below photo which Steve Weast made for his cold water tank.
  17. Hi bro, I hope it so. Because they are used to feed with the brine shrimps and training with dry BS would be much easier than others within the short period. But I really don't know how to make it dry and where to get it though. Sorry for my lack of knowledge and hope I can get your precious comments again. Thank you so much.
  18. Hi Bro, I stayed at Haig road and I'm not able to get suitable relative to take care my tank. They are beyond the reef keeping hobby. Thanks for your comments.
  19. Yap, I have been read so many bad stories about ATF when reefers were away from their tanks. That's why I scared to use it too. I agreed with your comments " a hungry fish is much healthier than a over feed one". Another thing what we all known is that most of the fishes were delivered here by shipment. And we can only keep alive to those fish which are healthy. I have no doubt to that healthy fish can survive without feeding during the shipment. It is similar to my case and it makes scene. But I'm trying to tweak the feeding with live brine shrimps when I'm away from tank and simply expect to get a good idea for continuous feeding routine. I appreciated to your helps and comments.
